11st december 2016 strong winds over pécel, hungary arrived by a cold front. Recorded by sony stereo dictaphone.

Recorded a thunderstorm using my camera, and mixed this existing sample of a thunderstorm with it. . Http://freesound. Iua. Upf. Edu/samplesviewsingle. Php?id=2523. Also used a few patches from a symsynth to build the thunderclap and some of the rain effects. Added some delays, reverb, compression and eq as well as splitting several tracks and offsetting them to create a spacial soundscape.

A strong rainshower hitting an awning, with the gentle "shhhhhh. . . . " of the rain falling on the new, fresh green, pliable leaves of a sugar maple. Some good thunder as well in this recording. Recording made in april of 2017 at 6:00pm in the midwest. Gear used: sound devices 702 with audio technica bp4025 stereo microphone. Enjoy.

Finally rain after a hot dry july 2018. 10 mins rain with 3 large thunder claps. Not recorded as loud as i should have, it was dark. I used an h4n through an open window.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Kid around 4 year old crying (tantrum) outside in the distance echoing among buildings. Some city rumble in background. I edited the sound to remove the mother's voice. Use an high-pass filter 120hz to diminish city rumble. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. Use freely on your personal commercial and non-commercial projects. Let me join 'thunder club. ' gray sky suddenly turned to be wild, and began to roar. I hastily connected a mic (ae5100) into fr-2, and recorded it. By the way, sound of thunder is one of the most difficult sources of all, i guess.
