I recorded this from a balcony (5th floor) in the middle of a summer day (end of july), using a mid/side set (mkh30 + c480 b-uls/ck62-df omni) into sound devices mixpre3. Not any processing has been added, except a plain m/s to x/y stereo conversion and low-cut filter (30hz). This is a generally quiet atmo, sometimes light wind comes in, some seagulls and other birds are there at times, some construction work happens etc. The traffic noise is present, but in the distant way. Feel free to use it in any of your productions. Not for resale.

This is the sound of a bamboo being shaken lightly, originally i had meant to make the sound of a light wind but the sounds turned out too harsh. So i ended up being able to salvage the sound of a bush being shaken or moved through. For all those forest troopers, here you go.

You can hear people in the park next to york minster chatting, walking, laughing and there's distant city noises. Then, around halfway through the recording the bells start to ring out for midday. This is a segment of a larger recording of a thunderstorm from march 24, 2012, in greensboro, north carolina, usa, including some small hail. This was taken on the night of march 24, 2012, with an olympus ls100 and an audio technica at-822 single-point x/y stereo microphone.

An edited recording of crashoverride61088 on trombone, edited to sound like the teacher ms. Othmar from the peanuts series. Recorded with an at-4040, pro tools 10, and some light eq. The original sound (http://www. Freesound. Org/people/crashoverride61088/sounds/146933/) was edited in audacity to set a new sampling frequency and to change stereo to mono format.

Five minutes of rain, artificially created. Using a blue yeti usb condenser mic on the cardioid pattern, i made a 30-minute recording of sounds from my sink (drips, splashes, different faucet pressures) and cut them up into 60 files, later edited down to 20. These were layered together and mixed with white, pink, and brownian noise. Slight noise removal done. Recorded some basic mic noise, and used a subtractive processor (reafir in reaper) to remove that sound from the final mix. Convolution reverb was added for a fairly realistic set-it-and-forget-it option. I've uploaded a dry version as well.

I turned on my recorder just after watching a movie on valentines day. The theatre wasn't packed but people were relaxed. I stood in the lobby for a while watching people getting ready for the next movie, then walked outside through the squeaky doors of the theatre and stood around people having a smoke and waiting for their ride home. I then walked to my car. Panasonic stereo hand recorder, nothing fancy.

Small group of russian-speaking kids (3-5 y. O. ) are playing indoor at kindergarten's play room.

You can hear children playing a soccer-like game on the left, and adults playing tennis on the right. Recorded with a zoom h1 with two sony lavaliere microphones attached, tucked into home-made felt pouches as windscreens, which i suspended from my glasses frames.
