A rumble of thunder from a storm over 50 miles away over the irish sea from an mcs during july 2016. The atmospheric conditions of that night, along with the lack of other noise allowed sounds to be heard much further than they normally would. The main reason was likely due to a strong temperature inversion close to the ground. Recorded with zoom h4n onboard mics.

I tried to create the sound of a swarm of insects.

This sound describes what happens in my grandmother's garden in the evening. She lives in a village where birds singing loudly but in this time they are calm and silent. It was very relaxing sound.

It was quite loud, my gain was set extremely low, enough that i didn't pick up any of the road traffic with cars passing a few feet behind me. The first sunday of may is the international dawn chorus day! on the 3rd of may 2020, artists and field recordists in different parts of the world recorded the birdsong around the time of the local sunrise, and then the sounds were put together in a synchronous collage. The sounds you hear in the recording at the same time happened at the same time, but not necessarily in the same place: for example, you can hear owls calling in the spanish night at almost the same time as kookaburras in the australian day. A 1 minute soundwalk at loyola high school. You can hear students and traffic in the background. You hear a ping pong game and student's voices in the foreground. You can faintly hear a bell.

Foley for a bug scurrying along rocks in a glass tank. Quick, high pitched scurry in the pebbles. Made by shaking a plastic jar of almonds.

A public restroom toilet flushing loudly. Sennheiser 416 -> tascam dr-70d.

My dog growls when you go anywhere near him while he is eating, i noticed he seems to leave a little bit of food so he could run to it and growl (perform) when i came downstairs later on. So, i placed a condenser mic on his bowl and recorded him in 96k 24bit. I will no doubt use this in a short film and it's here for use by others too.
