I moved everything out of my bathroom for cleaning and noticed the acoustics sounded nice, so i decided to get a quick recording of my shower. The equipment i used was a laptop with a rode nt1-a and a sennheiser md 421-2.

I recorded this with my smartphone as i needed to dub it into a film that i was designing. I manipulated part of the raw recording, and it sounds awesome in the mix. On this lo-fi recording, corn grains are sitting in a frying pan and begin to pop as the oil is hissing. It provides an interesting and regular popping sound suitable for mid-range frequencies. The recording is done with a tie-microphone, and extra treatment is done on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.
