When i was walking around today to catch sounds, i met a man who was mowing his lawn. I asked him if i could record him while he was mowing his lawn. He agreed and i was allowed to record him mowing. It's a viking electric lawnmower. Description: a man mows the lawn with an electric lawnmower. He drives the lawn mower over a piece of path to the meadow, mows and drives the lawn mower back. At the beginning of the recording, there is a short question asked if he should start now, which i confirm. The recording is unedited. I recorded this for a pinball game i worked on. It's a sound of a marble dropping onto a table and then rolling around for a bit, finishing in the marble dropping into a hole (falling onto the carpet). It's meant to simulate the sound of a pinball being put into play on a pinball table. Enjoy!.

My neighbor mows a cul-de-sac with a riding lawn mower for about 2 minutes and drives away. As the mower drives away a car honks and some distant shouting can be heard. Recorded with a zoom h4n pro placed on the windowsill facing the cul-de-sac.

At closest to target it was recorded from about 33ft away from mower at farthest range about 40ft away. If you wanted the mower to be heard from an inside area you could add a high pass filter to the recording. Please note this wasn't taken with the average household mower it was taken with a heavy duty lawn mower used for cutting large areas of grass so it doesn’t have the same sound as a regular mower.
