Some wind i created using white noise.

Not a very good recording, and very short - but this is the flapping of a juvenile bald eagle's wings and its cry. I'm only uploading this because i don't think there are any other samples on freesound. I didn't manage to get a good shot at this one, so that's all there is. But i'll try for a better sample as soon as i can. This is a real bald eagle - not a red-tailed hawk, which is what most eagle samples really are. As with the loons, i'm on a bad dialup connection but if i get a better sample i'll upload it as a wav.

I combined an ambient bar crowd recording that i found here with a funky little back beat that i also found on this site and made a great cubicle noise blocker / filter. I use this at work with headphones on when i'm trying to concentrate and drown out conversations in the office. Also good for when i work from home and i'm trying to drown out the tv and other distractions. The crowd noise is excellent at diffusing regular office conversation and the little funky back beat keeps the crowd noise from getting boring. This works really well even at fairly low volume i. E. You dont have to crank it loud to drown out the distractions. Hope you like it and thanks to everyone for the great sounds on this site. Wav(ls)ps - i purposely let the crowd noise run out for a few seconds at the end so that you can appreciate the full groove of the hip hop. Wav. Has a nice effect when you loop the whole thing, gives you a little break from the crowd noise. Almost like you're stepping out of the room for a second.

Rain falling heavily with wind. Some indistinguishable noise in background, could be children, and some voices. Some creaks and rain intensifies. Rooster crows. Rainy farm from a porch. More wind and creaks.

Wind blows hard through large open structure or rigging. Could be a ship, storm, or hurricane. Loops.

Boat sounds. Chugging engines, horns beeping. Variety of horns. Motor running.

A metal scrape and ring, sounds like a sword being unsheathed.

A man laughing. Distinct, slightly hoarse and throaty. A long laugh.

A variety of office machines, electric and manual. Electric adding machine, teletype, and manual typewriter with bell.

Astrojet taxi. Loud roar and long whistle. Cuts in and out. Varying volume.

Dog barking, increasing intensity. Loud "ruffs!" larger dog.

Sheep bleating. One at a time, variety of closeness.

Two horses walk or trot on hard ground, slightly reverberant space. Voices in the very distant background.

Horse galloping in from distance, voices talking. Car sounds in background.

Horse fording a river or other deep water. Could also be a person, no horse sounds.

Single horse trots slowly. Some squeaking and jingling. Increased speed at end as it comes closer to microphone. Reverberant space, hard ground.

Sampled from my beloved yamaha rm1x groovebox (that later got stolen during a break-in).

This is a recording of a synthesized sound that has a vintage radio feel. These are three separates sounds with a small pause between them. Synthesized using a free vst synthesizer.

Five rakes of a large wind chime recorded in the studio. I was producing a track for a singer / songwriter who has a beach type song and we needed some effects to add to the atmosphere and wind chimes was one of a few. This is a clean recording. You can use this in all kinds of outdoor samples etc. I recorded five passes for a few different chimes. This recording is unprocessed and has not been edited. This is a sample i did a while back when i was looking for a new default error sound for my computer. Taken from a old vinyl toy dog, cat and bear.

Dialing the number 3. The dial plate telephone "fetap 611-2" (fernsprechtischapparat) in screaming orange was distributed by the german bundespost from 1972 on. It uses a real bell for ringing and of course it can only do pulse dialing. This was recorded with a single røde nt5 microphone via a behringer ddx3216 digital console into ardour. Normalized over all dial pulse samples of this set. Edit feb 2020: i changed the license to cc0 since i myself use cc0 material from freesound these days a lot.

Five jets fly by at medium speed and medium height. Last has long out.

Small airport or airfield. Several prop planes taxi, takeoff, land, and idle.

Steam engine steady up and down chug. Slows and lowers in pitch, may be effected.

Motorboat running, increasing in speed then steady. Water sloshing and some birds. Eventually slows and heavy wave sound. Engine revving and sputtering at end.

A motor starting up with a high whine. Then a steady hum and quiet chug. Shuts off at end and winds down quickly.

Quiet treble-heavy surf. Waves rolling in ocean, some water sloshing and lapping at shore.

Low frequency predominant. Rumbling and whistling intense but slightly distant winds. Probably better as an interior p. O. V. Could be used as wind inside a cave, or observing outside winds from a sheltered space.
