Testing the sennheiser mke 2002 binaural microphones (circa 1973), playing bongos resting on my lap. The microphones are designed to be mounted either on a dummy head or - as i use them here - a user's own ears. Binaural recordings require headphones for full effect.

Recordings from one of my workshops at uni. Gareth stuart is playing while we test mic techniques for: interaural intensity difference, interaural time difference and which techniques and positions reduced the instruments natural hiss, but we also discovered that a lot of people like the clarinet's tuneful hiss. We used an ab split stereo pair , xy pair and then an ortf pair. Used rode's nt5 pair, veeery nice.

The recording was made by the tracks not not at the train station. I recorded this on a trail near the firth of forth. Waiting for the train :) i think i can hear the sound of the tracks and the passing train with interest. Enjoy.
This is a recording of a train going through two stations in a city (bristol)on the seven beach line. It is a diesel train. It is not a high speed train.

Zoom h1 / 5 30 am / jan 27. I was camping at this location in guanacaste, costa rica when this beautiful landscape woke me up, can you please comment the animal you think you can hear?. There are sounds like steps, this are some chickens around the mic. And also there are some barks that you can hear the marbella's acoustics. . . Lovely!!!.
