This is just my bit of fun and something i made for my own phone. After recording some supermarket chimes, i made them into a silly message notification. Note: the voice is a standard text to sound (i need this software because i'm blind) with added echo. Enjoy!.
A voice message left from a caller in mandarin, chinese. Thanks to freesound member, jamaicafunk, the woman is saying, "an important dhl international express delivery was not signed for. Press 9 to talk to customer service. ".
Old german black telephone, called w48 by siemens. Build from 1948 to the sixties. Recorded with tascam dr100 mk3 and rode nt3. Some optimizing in cubase.
I created a dtmf tone with an amplitude of 0. 8 and a tone/silence ratio of 550 and during 7s. Then i amplified 1. 3 db sound. And finally i multiplied the speed of 0,960.
To create this sound, i created a sinusoid of 500 hz and an amplitude of 0. 8. I then multiplied the speed of 0. 750. To get this final sound is to duplicate the sinusoid several times.
This is the sound of a nokia e72. Recorded while turning the back cover off. What i mean by back lid is the lid of the section where the battery and sim cards are.
Standard messages when calling in to voicemail. File includes starting the call, deleting several messages, and the end of the call; no actual voicemail messages.
Winter wind in the phone-lines alongside a disused railway, now a footpath. This was made on what used to be the platform of a station, now very overgrown. The station shut down sixty years ago. Short recording, faded in and out. Zoom h1 using on-board mics.
I used audacity with an internal mic to record this. Its good quality though. i just dialed some numbers on my house phone with the dialtone at the beginning. Its very clear there might be some background noise though.
