A large group of atlantic spotted dolphins (stenella frontalis) recorded during a whale-watching boat trip off the harbour of valle gran rey on the island of la gomera, canary islands, spain, 2017-03-11. The first part was recorded with a zoom2 recorder from the boat, you can hear the dolpins breathing. Then the recording was switched to an underwater hydrophone so you can hear the sounds the animals make.

Dad says the player cost over £30 then which was more than a weeks wages at the time. I was inter-railing around europe at the time but the recording seems to stop in pamplona. Six weeks later all my money and passport was stolen while in crete and i made my way home via the british consulate in athens.

I'm back with another binaural. I am attempting to capture the sounds that remind me of the places i have visited. This is a recording of fuertaventura, in the canary islands, inland in the desert, morning with the wind blowing the sand, desert mountains all around just like the wild west. I upgraded my binaural mics to roland cs-10em from my homemade ones. I'm happy if you can notice the difference. I like that they are combined mics and earphones with little windbooms. I recorded this sound in lloret de mar, a small town of spain. It was a really windy day, i went to the beach to record the wind and the sea, because it was a bit stormy. You can also hear people, talking and laughing in the background. It was a really beautiful and sunny day!.
