A binaural recording made from on top of a footbridge with light-to-medium traffic passing underneath, building to something of a semitrailer crescendo, and with a bit of chirping birdsong interspersed.

This is a recording taken under a highway bridge. A car passes by under the bridge in the latter part of the recording.

This is another binaural-recording we used for the production of an audio walk. Ten kids having a lesson in karate. They follow their teacher and making their moves. . . Inside an intercity (ic) near stuttgart. Recorded in an almost empty train on a fairly even route section at a quite constant velocity, sitting in a cabin for six passengers with five empty seats, compartment door closed at around 8 pm. Recorded with a portable stereo recorder (zoom) set to 96000 hz and 24 bit.

This field-recording was taken inside of a high-capacity wagon of the ic-train 2374 starting at the station darmstadt in direction of frankfurt. The wagon was rather empty, but two passengers can often be heard talking during this recording. Many different sounds and noises are heard during different driving situations of the train. The recording was started on 4th january 2023 at 10:23 cet shortly before the closing of the doors and the departure of the train in darmstadt. At 01:16 an announcement can be heard. The recording was made with the mid-prize smartphone huawei p10 lite.

I needed a background sound for a play i was involved in to suggest a busy train station in the 1930's. There are various steam sounds, door clucks, whistles and a lot of reverberation sound effect applied.
