More rain and distant thunder recorded from an open window. I recorded it with an optimus tape deck and an old microphone (the tape i recorded it on was a maxell ur), i then used audacity and the same tape deck to convert it to digital. This is an ambient background sound made in the tropical rain forest from the venezuelan amazonas at noon (12:00m), there you can listen to some exotic bird singin, some early cicades and wind striking moriche treepalms. At the beginning the sound of thunder overload the audio signal because high level of decibels produced for high pressure levels. Recorded with zoom h4n recorder, with x, y mics at 120 degrees. Stuck my condenser mic out my window during a rain storm and recorded for a few minutes. Recorded at 48khz with a rode nt1-1. High passed around 150hz and compressed a little to bring up the volume.

Then, at 1:48, there was a huge lightning strike nearby which produced a very loud burst of thunder. Captured from my front porch during a summer storm. Recorded on a windows x8 phone and left as-is. This is from the 24th may 2016 morning thunderstorms over pécel, hungary recorded at 7am using my sony icd-ux512 stereo dictaphone.

The sound of heavy rain on the metal casing of an air conditioner. Also some soft thunder and my dad clanking around in another room. Recorded 4 miles north of lisbon, oh during a june 16 thunderstorm. I recorded this with my cad u1 usb mic and my toshiba laptop using audacity.

A thunderstorm rolling through. Starts off with heavy rain and then lightens up. Some cars drive by and at one point a group of people on bicycles makes their way past.

Thunder storm: this is a very accurate and realistic thunder storm. The great clashes of thunder can be heard accompanied buy the rumbling of the storm. Wind blowing and swooshing paints a beautiful picture. The sharp lightning strikes are very prominent. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This is a great ambience to create the basis of an amazing soundscape.
