A very energetic thunderstorm recorded from inside a house. -----------2 primo em172 mic capsules -> zoom h1 recorder.

Starts with soft raining, rain gets stronger, at the end a deep thunder far away. Recording with high quality stereo condenser mircophone.

Moderate rainfall with civil defense (air raid) sirens wailing and rotating and low rumbles of thunder. Recorded about an hour before a major tornado struck the area.

Light rain with distant rumbling thunder and three thunder claps.

Rain falling softly into a puddle of rainwater by my back basement door. Some peals of thunder can also be heard softly in the background. Recorded fairly close.

4 1/2 minutes of heavy rain with a couple of thunders in between. Recorder with a zoom h4n.

This is the end of a heavy thunderstorm, at the beginning of the recording it is hearable the last thunder(unfortunatly). During the recording is possible to hear also some cars. The recording was made using a roland r05 mounted on a tripod facing to a hedge.

Recorded with a zoom h4n onboard microphones, spur of the moment kind of thing. No checking for an optimal recording position, or levels. I just switched it on, opened the window fully and started recording. The batteries were running on empty so i quickly caught as much as i could.

Finally rain after a hot dry july 2018. 10 mins rain with 3 large thunder claps. Not recorded as loud as i should have, it was dark. I used an h4n through an open window.

My first upload to freesound is a thunderstorm recorded in gateshead, uk, next to our open bathroom window. Some lovely thunderclaps and rain. Recorded on a zoom h5. There are also some household sounds swimming around in the background, doors closing, dishes clinking etc; i think you can hear the radio or something very faintly towards the end -- but there's plenty of clean usable thunder and rain in there. Incidentally i often use this type of thing in my long-form instrumental music, produced under the name conelrad. Recorded using a zoom r 16 and a shure sm 81 mic, the only problem with the sample is me saying baap re(which means o my god) at the end, which fortunately can be edited out, the sample can also pass as a gunshot :).

This is a recording of a storm from the balcony of the living room in the province of rieti in italy on wednesday 8 september 2021, where various noises such as lightning, thunder, heavy rain, a bit of wind and even an ambulance and a bulldozer working in distance. This recording was done with the shure mv88 plus stereo microphone connected to my iphone 12 pro.

Severe thunderstorm arrived to pécel, hungary after the hot days on 8th of july 2015. It produced 15 mm of very intense rain and wind, and some lightning.
