In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window. The sample was recorded using the built-in stereo microphone of a zoom h4n recorder. It was slightly processed to remove unwanted low and high frequencies which were not related to the actual recording. Recorded from line-in from a 13-year-old boombox tuned to the bottom of the am dial and moved around near the computer and printer. You can hear the base computer noise, then at 00:17 you start to hear the radio get closer to the printer which is off but plugged in.

It's me letting my stomach sing it's protest song to the zoom h2's front stereo mics. Recorded via usb into ardour 2 daw at 48khz/16-bit. Unedited and unprocessed - only truncated. Lots of noise but also lots of noise alone ,so you can easily denoise this for your needs.

An unintended recording of me and a passerby walking through very thick and wet mud on the walthamstow marshes. I was out testing new gear and couldn't remove the mics from my rucksack strap to avoid picking up the rustle of my clothing or my occasional heavy breathing. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution.
