We were moving offices and i found an odd piece of metal that made an odd noise. An impromptu recording on a mobile phone in a boxy room with no furnishings (sorry).
This sound is of a stick (bo staff) swinging fast. It was recorded using a zoom h1 with the foam windscreen. The clip was cleaned up in adobe audition cs6.
Triplet drum beat at 110 bpm, heavy swing feel. The sound has been treated with moderate eq and compression. The timing is not the most accurate; the suitability of this sample would depend on the importance of that.
I swung a rope in a helicopter-like fasion to create this sound. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.
This short piece of music is build with a drum-loop, brass-section, distorted electric guitar and the lead charang synthesizer with effects. It's free to use. This short piece was build with cubase.

A fast whoosh sound, made by swinging a cable past the microphone. Sounds like a sword swinging, or some other kind of fight sound maybe. Recorded with a zoom h4n.
Three fast whooshing sounds, made by swinging a hollow plastic pipe past the microphone. Might be a useful fight sound maybe. Recorded with a zoom h4n.
