This was made using a modular synth patch. It sounds like the interface of a retro spaceship from a science fiction film. Some noise is intentionally introduced.

It is not a real helicopter sound, homemade ;).

After checking my mail i was walking back to the house and heard this plane approaching. I always carry my yamaha pocketrak and got it going just in time to catch this low flyover. It actually reminded me of a warplane flying over. I also left in the wind sounds that sort of sound like distant artillery. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

Converted to b format using vvtetravst, then processed to stereo as wide cardioids at + and - 45 degrees using ambisonics toolkit (atk). Light noise reduction applied using izotope rx 7 spectral de-noise. High pass filter applied to reduce low end rumble. Some editing done to remove wind buffeting. An automatic voice announce the end of the walkway in the airport of bangkok. Recorded by a smart headset ambeo sennheiser very close to the speaker (close to the ground). Recorded in wave 48khz 24bit. Of course i don't "own" the right of the voice used for the walkway. Please be careful about rights if you're using this sound.
