The early july pulse of night critters in the woods of central alabama. The crickets and tree frogs really are this loud, all summer long.

A still, quiet night in jenks, oklahoma.

Just a clip of ambient sounds in my neighborhood. You can hear a few different kinds of birds making noise, dog barks, a circular or table saw being used, and general "ambient" tone.

A hound dog of some type giving a couple of warning barks from his yard then whining because he can't get at cognito on his bicycle.

This recording was made at 8:00 pm. The crows were still active and the sprinkler was still on. The distant innaudible noises are from unknown people, and the crickets were alive and active.

A short outdoor walk in northwest florida. July 2022, 9 pm. I wasn't expecting my old tape recorder to capture any environmental sound, but it did, so here it is. This is a raw recording - no cleanup was done.

Horsei recorded the tongue on the palate. At this recording, i added a wahwah effect to give the illusion of a horse to the trot.

I really needed something that sounded like a group of horses galloping in the distance and couldn't find anything. So i busted out my zoom h6 and set it on my futon comforter and then just tapped my fingertips on the surface right next to the stereo mics. Then i put that track in premiere and made four layers, all offset to get different rhythm and i thought it turned out pretty good so wanted to share it.

General sounds on the sand spit at aromoana near dunedin, new zealand, the cottage was the old pilots house and sits between a salt marsh and the sea.

New zealand native bellbird (korimako). Recorded on kapiti island, a bird sanctuary on the west coast of the north island, nz. Recording was made at some feeder stations set up for the native stitchbird (hihi) but it seems that the bellbird was the predominant species on the day. This is in a light forest setting with a large number of birds moving around calling.

This recording was done early one morning in may 2012 in the middle of scotland. You can hear the usual sounds of the countryside at this time of year and day. The two front microphones were facing the river tay, the two back ones drummond hill. This is the sound those front ones captured. All of them microphones were audio technica at-3031 ones, connected to the rme quadmic preamp into an edirol r-44 recorder. To get a quadraphonic or surround sound you have to download both tracks (they are next to eachother on the list) and alter them the way you want. If you compare them, then it shows what a difference it makes where you point those microphones.

A boeing airplane taking off on november 12 from fort myers airport to columbus ohio. I thought this would be a good recording for freesound, so i thought i'd upload it. Horse racing: a girl wearing a tap-dancing shoe ran on a wooden board, tapping her instep and heel at different moments to look like a galloping horse. Horseshoe sound as it runs. Recorded with a shotgun shure vp89 microphone, behringer u-phoria umc404hd sound card, in adobe audition. The sound was produced in a foley class with the intention of making some sound from the tap shoes. The audio was recorded in the foley classroom of the multimedia course at ort brazil school.

This is a field recording taken in a suburban location in the city of cincinnati just over ten minutes in length.
