It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). This is a sound for videogame. I love notch filters, so, in order to keep the sound less raw and simple, i put some filter modulation and a bit of reverb.
