24-bit analog saw wave oscillators from the arturia microbrute. - ranges from c0-b6- recorded through a focusrite scarlett 2i4 into ableton without any additional processing- samples are recorded @ 120bpm and are 4 bars each (8 seconds). Enjoy.

For mr. M's open source class mm 462 the audio book i chose to work on was two plus two makes crazy by walter j sheldon. Added was a bit of music and some sound effects throughout.

This is a small construction kit - lightly processed for easy control and use. . . It´s based on these broken beat sounds and trip hop - and a bit jazzy from the choosen instruments. . . 165 bpm - the drumsamples are from a roality free libary. . .

A 16 bar drum loop made in ableton with no samples rendered at 44100khz and a bit depth of 24 with triangular dithering. The drum loop runs at 140 bpm and the buzz on the bass/kick drum isn't audible when layered with a track.

It's a supermarket that is a five / ten-minute walk from my house. Although it was a bit crowded, the atmosphere remained very quiet. The file is loopable, recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.

Christmas day 2007 in ramsgate harbour. The weather was cold and misty with a bit of wind. The result is an eerie sound as the wind rattles the rigging of the yachts, enhanced by a couple of birds flying across the harbour making mournful squawks.

A recreation of the deep angry g note we all heard in epic hollywood action trailers. Sounds also a bit like the tripods from "war of the worlds". Made with fl studio.

I changed the synthesizer's ranges and played a bit with reaktor's structures until i realized i was playing with the frequency range. The result is a radically different sound that sounds more like a machine.

A very re-samplable bit of digital glitching made using aphex twin's samplebrain app with some of my own drum samples as the input. Feel free to use for anything (but i'd love to see what you make with it!).

Walking round the grounds of kirby hall and there was one particularly vocal peacock. Only had android phone with me. Have removed wind interference with eq. There are no other fx on the edit. What sounds like a bit of reverb is from the natural ambience.

Ibanez guitar, lots of reverb and delay, using glass slide in conjunction with digitech whammy pedal,marshall amp, recorded with sm57 16 bit 44. 1 mono. Plenty of space in-between movements could be used as a whole or cut to taste. Great halloween filler!.

Here are some recordings of some of my basic woodwork tools. I'll try and get better recordings in the future but i share a workshop and it is rarely quiet enough to get good recordings. All recordings are me working on a piece of 25mm thick walnut timber. Listening back has made me realise that all of these tools need sharpening!! :). The recordings are as follows:. 00:00 - 00:26stanley block plane fine shaving the edge of the timber. 00:28 - 01:33stanley 5m retractable tape measure, metal blade and plastic casing. Tape being wound out and drawn back in. 01:36 - 03:30milwaukee m12 battery drill. Trigger being pressed, chuck opening and closing and bits being changed. Drilling into timber. Driving screws into the timber and removing them again. 03:32 - 05:14lie nielsen crosscut tenon saw cutting across the grain of the timber. 05:17 - endgeneral purpose wood saw 'ripping' along the grain of the timber. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Messing around in logic with some surround impulse responses and delay designs. Ended up with something that sounded a bit like a submarine sonar blip. . So i added the sound of a fridge, time stretched using the flex tool and pitch adjusted and now it sounds almost real :).
