I used a minidisk and two pzm's and a home made spliter box that worked only if you never touched it. It was one in the morning to try and avoid most of the traffic. Rain starts about half way in. Wind noises recorded under a window in a high city block. Apart from huge amount of mic internal noise the recording is nice. Could be useful only when played really quiet. Captured with zoom h2 with hi gain at 96khz/24-bit. Edited and normalized with audacity.

Short and long bursts from a saline applicator bottle that makes a high pitched wheezing noise, a bit like a wet train whistle. Also includes the bubbling end as the bottle runs out and is empty. Recorded on tascam dr-40, cleaned up in audacity. Shout-outs welcome: production-now. Com.

This is traffic outside my office on ventura boulevard, recorded in the lobby with the front door closed. The traffic is still fairly present, because there's a mail slot in the door which allows quite a bit of the sound through. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

After searching the web for a decent open/close wooden door sfx i decided i would record my own for my school project. But why stop there? why not share on the web, i asked myself. So here it is! used an edirol 24 bit 96khz. Wav/. Mp3 recorder.

Stretched sound, good for video games. I made the original sample in fruity loops using the reverse effect on a basic software sample sound. After that i used paul stretcher effect in audacity to stretch everything up and give it a longer feel. Also added little bit of dellay and reverb after stretching it.

This wave file is prepared as a morphagene reel 48khz, 32 bit with markers (splices) for each sound. They're all tuned to c, they're stereo and have some reverb. It basically turns your morph into a synth voice that responds very well to 1v/oct. I am sure you're going to have fun with it.

Me playing around with some zips and clothing to get various sounds. There are two types of zips recorded. One for a piano bag and one for a recorder case. A small collection of gurgles from a small water dropper/pipette. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. A sound i thought i could hear in my mind and i thought i might be able to find, but decided to go out and create this one. We went out and literally hit metal rulers against a metal staircase handrail, and then went into audacity and reverberated a copy underneath the sound, and tweaked it a bit to add the lasting effect.

Very short tick. This is a sound i found on my forest recording. Something must have fallen on my mics. It made a very nice, clean and natural tick sound. I cut it out from the ambient sound normalized, made a little fade-out and saved as 24-bit flac. The original recording was 96khz/24bit.

It's a recording of a firework candle going off. The candle bursts near the end of the recording, before burning out. Recorded with zoom h2's rear mics at 96khz/24bit on a mic stand. Denoised, normalized, truncated and converted to 16-bit flac using audacity.

Made this just walking on the road near my house, no car passings. There's a bit of gravel on the road kicked up from car tires. I just recorded this with my phone so it's not a perfectly clean recording (as far as background noise).

Water is being poured in and out of assorted ceramic and glass bowls, jugs or bottles. I left a bit of the container's own noise in, such as cork bottles plopping or the filled container being slid over a wooden table, for all your bartenders needs :p a lovely chuckling bottle is somewhere by the end.

This is an attempt to recreate the sound of a gunshot. At a distant and medium distance. The sound consists of two layers. In the synthesis, white noise with different filtering by layers was used. Reverb was not used. The final processing is equalization and a bit of overdrive.

A bit of spooky music i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I made some chords and tones with an organ-sound with a lot of delay and effects on it. Added other eerie sounding noises and voila, a scary bit of music. Think it would fit anything creepy, scary, haunted. Fantasy, horror, terrifying, dystopia or whatever comes to mind. 24 bit 44100 khz sound recorded with zoom h6. The area is very close to the magical small village of krippen, germany. The river flows undisturbed - at some point though you can hear a car passing by. Its tires interact with the wet asphalt creating yet another interesting sound effect.

Namely, i removed a noisy part and united two different parts of the recording. It's interesting at some point how the wind flows gently and playfully at this magnificent high altitude spot.

I recorded this for a pinball game i worked on. It's a sound of a marble dropping onto a table and then rolling around for a bit, finishing in the marble dropping into a hole (falling onto the carpet). It's meant to simulate the sound of a pinball being put into play on a pinball table. Enjoy!.
