Field recording of waves breaking on felixstowe beach in suffolk, england. Recorded using a stereo microphone and zoom h4 recorder close to the water to try and capture the spray from the waves. Wind shield was used but a little bit of wind exists on the recording with a hpf used to minimise rumble.

A raw recording from my iphone 6s of me and my sister walking through a peaceful british park with plenty of birdsong, a little bit of wind noise, and just one car passing by. We're first walking on a gravelly path in the park, to a pavement, and then on some grass as we make our way home.

This is a basic drum loop featuring a performance on the udu, a middle eastern hand drum. The stereo sample actually consists of the same rhythmic patttern performed on two individual drums of different pitches assigned to the left and right stereo channels. This loop would work well for a bollywood-style production or anything requiring a little bit of mid-eastern flair. Enjoy! feedback welcome.

Diboz throws a piano at his annoyingly ticking watch, which is ruining his sense of timing. Created in flstudio 11 with lightly tweaked flkeys, flreverb2, jangly (almost tubular bells) wasp xt layers and a pitch bent formant for a bit of spookiness. The ticking noise and deep notes were generated by fiddling with morphine's presets. Caution: look at the waveform. Don't turn up the wick. This piece starts quietly but there's a sudden, loud, jump scare.

It's a recording of a medium-sized dog's yelping. The dog also repeatedly sneezes from 1:15 on. The dog was longing for it's master, i did not do any harm to it otherwise than mercifully recording funny (in my opinion) sounds it made instead of saying words of support. I don't feel guilty. Five is four: a polyrhythmic analog-synth loop with ambiguous five or four time signature. Slightly frantic sounding, arpeggiator-like rising pattern a bit like a shepard tone, it's a 5/4 pattern, but accents are distributed in 4/4. 180 bpm, key is a-minor (a-minor then f-major). Two loops marked in wav file, first is the bare synth pattern, loop is samples 0 to 640,000; second is with a pad, loop is samples 960,000 to 1,600,000.

This is a recording of a storm from the balcony of the living room in the province of rieti in italy on wednesday 8 september 2021, where various noises such as lightning, thunder, heavy rain, a bit of wind and even an ambulance and a bulldozer working in distance. This recording was done with the shure mv88 plus stereo microphone connected to my iphone 12 pro.

Recorded this while going to the loo in a camping trip. The door was pretty creaky so i decided to record it because it could be a good sound effect. Of course i didn't have any equipment with me so the sound was recorded on my phone, which is why it's a bit echoey and shabby. There is also a river-flowing kind of sound as this street floods in heavy rain, and the water runs from the street into a storm drain right beside my driveway. Through an harmonic model, the low brass section have been separated of the trumpets and then a series of harmonic (harmonizer) transformations have been done in order to include a major third and a perfect fifth in the f0 = a2 harmonic serie. The a tuning is a little bit down from 110hz (~106-107hz).

It's a sound you usually can hear in a horror movie. It makes your blood freeze if it wasn't ice already. It has medium attack and very long decay. The sound's timbre is similar to what a metal gong could do when hit inside a cathedral. Synthesized with zynaddsubfx inside lmms. Rendered as 96khz/32-bit. Edited and normalized in audacity.

This is a sound i made in audacity by recording myself going "vvvvvvvvvvvvvv. . . " on two separate tracks and slowing them both down by 95% and adding a little bit of reverb. I think it's sort of convincing but i think it would be better if the pulse of the samples being copied a bunch of times kind of gives it away. Feel free to do what you like with it.

This sort of kickish type sound is one of my experiments with my model d. The ones near the end sound the kickiest and there's a nice filter sweeping as it goes along.
