Incidental noise from foliage.

This is a type of sound i don’t really know what they are called. Not in swedish, nor in english. If you know – help me!. The sound is intended to suggest an impending startling event. It’s an underscore sound meant to indicate the mood of a scene. It’s was made on my modular synth.

I went to a horror film festival and mostly got the music stuck in my head. This was one attempt to work it out. Not majorly successful but maybe useful to someone. As ever, made with edirol orchestral on cubase.

Sounds kinda like wind but a little more broken.

Rndstep generated sample and hold signal of the waveshaped neóni output passed into rings same cv used through dpo, some low pass filtering in qpas, much modulation using øchd, erbe-verb as reverb. Morphagene mix 50:50 1/2 speed, slide position modulated with øchd. Fed into x-pan. Morphagene ready, so get ready to enjoy for incidental stuff etc.

Coming out of the far end of my steve reich obsession, this starts as a pretty simple two violins and piano thing but layers up quite big. I like it quite a lot.

Chatter, air conditioning, pneumatic door closers, jingling of keys, chair scootching and footsteps in the reverberant lobby of a recreational center. Recorded on tascam dr-05x, limited to remove peaks and normalized in audacity.

Loud sizzling and hissing sounds produced by sliding small ice cubes over an electric stove burner. Nice "fire"-y sound. Some sounds of ice rattling in the nearby glass are also incidentally audible.

Incidental sounds of a few men in a large room, unintelligible english and hebrew, lots of kaddishes and amens, a shofar blowing, chair sounds. Accidental recording; recorder left on after a class. 70 minutes.

As i was working in an incidental sound i was continuously recording. All i saved was the ending. 2 seconds. But the sound is nice. Something in-between bass sound and bass drum sound… if you find use of it let me know.

This long recording was taken aboard the odoriko super view train from ito city bound for atami. You can hear the conductor's announcements, station arrivals and departures, passenger conversations (in japanese) and, of course, the train itself. The recording is unprocessed and made with a stereo mic pair at a 90 degree incidental angle.

This is a short stab of music that i think sounds a bit like the shimmering strings often found at the edges of an elder scrolls background theme. I would try to compose more but i don't have that kind of talent of really know what i'm doing.

This is a tune i've made out of a short saxophone riff (using edirol orchestral vst) which i've pitch shifted and reversed and reverbed and stuff and i think it sounds a bit 80s and very much like background music for some sort of tv program or film with spying or detectives or ghosts or possibly straight horror.

Simulation of fingal´s cave (mendelssohn) similar sea swell using modules of the make noise shared system and others to create the feeling of being on a small boat being borne up on the wave. Fits onto morphagene. If you want to know how i made it in more detail, pm me. Enjoy.

This is a recording i made of the ambience at our local diner one man band-- it's a staple of our local culture and still maintains a, "50s diner" kind of atmosphere-- something you can feel in the air when you visit the place-- i hoped to capture that dynamic with this recording-- the sound of utah-- something lost in time and yet so progressional. The sound of a culture being brought to its adolescence.

I needed some incidental character sounds for my cartoon so i broke out my zoomh2n and made some. I then cleaned up the audio and figured i should share it at my favorite internet site for great sound effects. No need to credit me if you use it, but if you do use one of my sounds, and have the time to let me know, that would be cool, but don't feel obligated. :).

Fireworks recorded amidst the buildings of an apartment complex. Lowpassed around 1khz. Slightly expanded dynamic range. I cut as many incidental noises as i could hear on my headphones (cars, neighbors, etc) but there's still some residual hum from an electrical box that was nearby as well as wind. A theme i composed* on cubase with edirol orchestral samples. I use some of these themes on radio dramas and readings that i put out on my radio show. I haven't used this one yet but i'll put out some more that i have and haven't used it he coming months - no need to attribute the source, just use away. *compose is an excessively generous word for my trial and error use of the piano roll function.

Muffled muddy balim sound created with interplay of 2 o-ctrl (thanks walker!) through strega and o-coast. Echophon, mimeophon and morphagene heavily involved along with the haible tau phaser. Got a can of sriracha peas for my birthday. Accidentally plucked the pull-tab. Sounded good. Made everyone pause what was on tv so i could pluck it a bunch. Ate about 3-4 peas. I don't like sriracha. Much less on dry peas. My stomach got upset. Those few peas colored my burps for about an hour. The can lid was the real present all along. Incidentally captured: chair squeaks (funnily in time with the plucking), "hurry up", "(he's) documenting the sound", chuckling, "is that good enough?".
