A pluck on a jew's harp. Recorded late at night in my bedroom on a samsung mp3 player. I enhanced it to the best of my abilities in audacity since the original recording had a low bitrate (64kbps mp3), the volume was low and it had a lot of static noise. Low pitch static which reminds me of 1950s sci-fi television. Created by filtering a static wave from an analog radio then slowing the pitch and adding a mechanization effect.

Pounding the back wall of a uhaul truck cab from the inside with my fist. Sounds great when you add reverb. Recorded with a tascam dr-40.

Hollow, reverby snare with some low rumble, fizzly highs, and nudged-down frequency ranges. ("derezzed" because i cut down some resonance).

Pull starting the chainsaw, followed by 16 seconds of idling, and then 2 separate revs. The first long and low, the second louder and shorter.

An up-close recording of a single cricket chirping. I recorded this with a shure beta 57a microphone, at my house, with the mic a few inches away from one of my housemate's crickets (don't ask). I used cubase and izotope denoise to remove noise artifacts, as well as a low-cut to remove unwanted low freqs. Recorded in mono but exported in stereo, so both the left and right audio channels are the same.

An amazing 3-second poot with a music-like sound (trumpet). Relatively good quality, ie. Low noise, no echo, etc. Post-processed using audacity (equalization, amplification, noise-reduction) to achieve more consistent levels and fidelity. Recorded on a moto g5 plus (smartphone) using easy voice recorder (android). Processed with audacity for a more consistent tone and volume.
