I made this file and used paulstretching and pitch change. I liked it. It's pretty much indescribable so see what you think. I hesitated to put "angels" on it but it does sound at some point like a host of voices.

This is the sync pulse generated by the monotron that is used to sync it's clock to other monotrons. If you send this to your monotron via computer software sequencer (daw), you can sync the monotron to your host sequencer (i've been doing this with ableton live). It works great.

Outtakes from the second massive freesound recording. Our host for the day (henk) entertains people while making them do weird sounds. Here henk says: "kwetteren en kwinkelen doe dat thuis". Translated this means more or less: "making smalltalk, do it at home". Audio cut up and normalized.

The soundscapes set contains various soundeffects usable in a wide range of productions but especially suited for ambient music and video/game productions. All the sounds were created in reason 9 using a variety of synthesizers and sound sources processed thru a host of effects. All samples are in 24 bit, 44. 1khz. Enjoy!.

Short stabs on a scale c,d,e. . . To. . G,a,b. Fm synthesis. One sinewave oscillator output gets mashed by a another that's outputting a triangular wav. The oscillators are fed back into themselves and each other and 40 voices unison added to create a ubiquitous growl/yoy sound. On large speakers, or a decent pair of buds, the sinewave osc fundmental can be heard as sub-bass. Flstudio was used to host the synthmaker vsti oscillators and render the wav file.

This was created with reaktor 6, nested inside vcvrack (via the "host" module) run through various effects in vcv rack. Ultimately this was rendered out at 192khz (vcv allows for very high super sampling). Many frequencies that are above the range of hearing exist in this file due to rendering it at such a high sample rate. I recommend that, in your daw of choice: pitch this down a couple octaves while running this through a frequency analyzer. Watch how many notes and tones emerge into the range of hearing. You might need a high shelf eq on this as well as a slight high pass filter. Several use cases for this sound: in the background of a sci-fi video game. On your next ambient dark drone top 40 hit single. Run through effects like granulators, pitch shifters and spectral distortions to make a crazy sound design sculpture.

This recording was made in the path of totality of the august 21st 2017 eclipse, in the woods surrounding devil's kitchen lake in southern illinois. It's a stereo extract from a longer, 88 minute b format recording. The purpose of making the recording was to see how the eclipse affected the sounds produced by insects and birds. In this extract, totality occurs exactly 10:00 minutes in; and ends at exactly 12:38. This mirrors the time totality occurred at devil's kitchen lake: from 1:20:27pm to 1:23:05pm central time. My first upload! this sound i made using the zmors synth on my ipad air2 - i used audiobus which is a great routing software allowing many of a lot of awesome sounding synths that are now on ipad and can be played professionally via a usb keyboard controller (very handy for gigging) okay this is getting too wordy. . . I used audiobus overall with zmors in the first slot being routed through the wonderful aufx eq app in the center (effects) slot then ran the most useful of all ---> audioshare app in the 3rd or output slot to record it all. . . Keep in mind that the number of devices you can run in these three slots is virtually limitless - as much as your device can handle so you can get really nuts with several synths, a drum machine, etc all routing to the middle (fx) stop in the chain and picking up a fat 3 or 4 nice sounding effects devices then on to output to audioshare or you can now use just audioshare as host and run zmors in it directly (and probably more smoothly). I chose zmors because on a couple of other ipads (ipad mini, ipad 2 especially, and ipad air a little bit) i was noticing that it was a resource hog and was not playing correctly or there was a huge lag in the latency so with the new(er) ipad air 2 i wanted to hear the zmors synth and it really is an underappreciated majestic sounding beast if you ask me. I am going to experiment further with it as the unique architecture and just the way it sounds is totally different from any other synth i've yet to hear on ipad or in general. It kind of reminds me of a fatter, more modern. Sequential circuits 6 track. Which i've had a couple of and have a thick layered sound - kind of like a really nice turkey sandwich with a good portion of swiss cheese then you notice that there's still some roast beef left and put a good amount of that between bread as well. Hell, that's a sandwich that's gonna be filling! thanks for reading.
