I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. One of a series of heavily processed sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I used s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, to combine these swishy sounds with various other metallic and synthetic sounds from my own library. The results are dynamic and surprising, and might be useful for certain kinds of unusual ui sound design.

Hubcap1 is the pot lid rattling around and coming to rest on the cement floor in my basement. (the mic was further away from the pot lid for hubcap1. ).

The blacksmith takes a glowing piece of iron, placing it on his anvil, and start hammering it. Done with a sennheiser ambeo vr ambisonic microphone, and a zoom f6 field recorder.
