This sound was created in audition by using three sample tracks with altered pitches for the sound of the timer countdown. I used an altered 8 bit sample for the explosion, bringing out the low range and lowering the high range with a 30 band compressor.

I made the recording in the town of denholm in scotland. In the recording you can hear fireworks, firecrackers. You can also hear the sounds of conversations in the crowd, screams of children, the sounds of a burning fire. On november 5 this year people across the uk light bonfires, let off fireworks, and burn effigies of a man named guy fawkes. The reason we do this is because it’s the anniversary of the gunpowder plot (1605); a failed attempt to blow up the houses of parliament in london by a group of dissident catholics.

This sound i recorded on thursday the 5th around 7am local time in charkiv. It is one take recorded with my dmr85 hbb mic. Unedited, no gain, raw.

Here is the sound of a 50-caliber barrett rifle being fired. You'll first hear the sound of the bolt being pulled back. Really cool sound if you can listen on some nice big speakers. Recorded with my handy zoom h4n using a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. I was standing about 20 feet from the rifle, and i still have the input gain turned way down to about 30, just to make sure the circuitry was not overloaded. Also, since this was in a big, wide-open field, you get a nice echo.

Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. The whole area takes on a constant booming quality along with the more identifiable explosions. Recorded with a twirling 720, converted with fb360 spatial audio software.

Sound of something from somewhere as best i can remember. Seems like it is the sound of a claymore or the like, in some game; by the time you hear it you know you are going to die. I messed with it at the end but you can cut that off if you want. No explosion at the end.
