Created only with audacity and magix. A few sawtooth waves with slow tremoloand a lot of high pass filtering and pitch-shifting. I added filtered pink noisefor the background noise and to make it sound more naturel.

Late summer night in the northern european (estonian, to be precise) countryside. Crickets, occasional barking etc.

Bullfrogs and crickets at night. The first half of the recording will have some human voices in the background, the second half shouldn't have any voices but does have water noises. Recorded in a horse pasture near portland, oregon in april. The water is from a small culvert emptying into a small irrigation stream.

This recording was made alongside a camera trap survey while at loagan bunut national park in sarawak, malaysia. It's a quite nice little bit that we didn't expect to ever find a use for, but came across this website and through i would share it. It lasts a good long time with pretty consistent sounds, so best wishes on it's use. Crickets chirping at night behind my apartment balcony in tokyo. You can hear my neighbor's air conditioner droning in the background. There is some weird freak burping and talking in the middle of the recording. This is a stereo recording made with 2 coincidental mics at 120゜angles.

Quiet urban residential area in tokyo at about 2 am in the late summer (october, i think). You can hear far off traffic, some night insects and a drunk guy who came to close to my hidden mics to take a whiz. Excluding the peeing guy, quiet parts are perfect for looping (for ambient background sounds in video or audio works). The peeing guy might actually be useful, so i didn't cut it out. Faithfully recorded with a stereo mic pair placed at a 90 degree angle. The left-right balance was adjusted and the stereo field was expanded later to fix the lopsided sided flatness of the original recording. Other than that, the recording is unprocessed.
