One of the most haunting sounds that i have ever captured. I got on the bus one day and didn't notice anyone on there when i sat down, and then a few moments later, i started hearing this sound. I was confused as to what to do. Do i turn around and look at this laugh-er in the face? what would a person laughing like this do to me if i looked at them? how could a person even laugh like this? it doesn't sound physically possible. As more and more people got on the bus, i saw nobody looking in his direction either. Am i maybe imagining this sound? is there a tiny many laughing in my head?. Upon leaving the bus, i looked back and couldn't tell who must have made the sound, but regardless, it still literally shakes me a bit hearing this audio. . . . Recorded with an android phone and edited in audacity.

A recording on an un-expected but very welcome warm day in january in the northern hemisphere. A recording of the activity going on at a small park in a small town, in a small region. The beginning of this mid-january 2023 recording features some sounds from several people playing pickleball. Towards the end of this audio, the laughter of the kids really takes center stage. By now covid is getting smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror, mother nature has decided to give us an extra 15 degrees of warmth and the adults, and youngsters are having fun just being outside and smiling and laughing. Equipment used: sounddevices mixpre 3, series ii. Microphone: audio technica bp4025 stereo microphone. Tail end of a paper-airplane competition as part of #azwud (arizona world usability day) in scottsdale, az. About 100 adults and 3 kids made paper airplanes then flew them in an informal indoor competition. Sounds of the crowd reacting to the different flights as planes flew off in all directions, hitting the ceiling, the floor, the audience. Announcer in the bkgd. Children approaching the 'launchpad' then the crowd reacting to their winning throw. After the kids' throw, the sound of another competitor's plane hitting the ceiling/floor (?) and then his comment "too much thrust. " a kid saying to an adult, possibly her mom (?), "please don't succeed" as the woman approached the launchpad to throw her plane.
