I recording made near some woods of the wind ebbing and flowing on an unusually mild day in late november of 2013. What i find unique about this recording is a lone cricket calling out at various times of this recording. . . Makes for a nice, almost melancholy feeling. It is almost like the cricket is not quite ready to hide away for the winter and is taking advantage of a rare 70-degree november day to call out as if to say "hey, i'm still here, waiting. . . In the grass. ". With headphones on, works wonders in clearing your head. . . Recording made at 6:30 at night with my handy / zoom h4 n recorder using the internal microphones, and of course using a very very stout wind screen. Enjoy.

I could almost sense their disappointment as the excited air molecules escape and disperse into what is in reality a rather drab room with a middle-aged man standing in the middle. One of a series of heavily processed sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I used s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, to combine these swishy sounds with various other metallic and synthetic sounds from my own library. The results are dynamic and surprising, and might be useful for certain kinds of unusual ui sound design.

Recorded with zoom h2 to 96 khz / 24-bit wav, encoded to flac with audacity. There's some background noise and touching sounds, possibly useful as foley. The initial pressure jet is distorted, so you'd need to clean it up a bit or use for special effects instead. Enjoy!.

I am a film director, and i have asthma. Here is me, a woman in los angeles, shaking up and using my albuterol inhaler. Entire sequence: shaking it up first (which we all do lol), then exhaling all air from my lungs so i can suck in a good amount of medicine, then depressing the trigger and sucking in. Kudos to toiletroll for uploading his inhaler audio first, but this is the entire asthma inhaler sequence start to finish. No need to credit me. Just use and have fun. Enjoy.

This is a breathing sound that supposed to replicate what it sounds like in a heavy mask, like a gas mask, space suit, or whatever you want. Recorded with sony hdr pj260v then edited with audacity.

10 minutes of wind used for a thunderstorm i'm creating on pro tools. The beginning is dead silence and goes until about 9:45. A compilation of winds found here on freesound and set on loop.

This is a sound effect of me pumping one of those hand pumps used to hold water or cleaner for spraying. My pumping causes pressure that makes the water bubble (which you can hear in the sound).
