Exploring nlc genie.

This was not what i was planning to do. Not at all. But i think this sound was kind of fun. I torment my intellijel μvcf a little. This time i edited the sound a little in audacity (eq, compressor and limiter).

A modular synth experiment. 1 - noise/vclfo/slew - the brighter sound2 - noise/vcf - the bassy soundx - the bass drum is very unrandom. 5 minutes of random. . .

Strange changing voice-like glitchy sounds devolving and becoming a quirky beat, made on the vcv rack modular synth by modulating the volume and delay of an oscillator with another oscillator, and vice-versa.

Yep, i'm reading allen stranges "electronic music: system, techniques and controls". Interesting from start. This is a patch made with lessons from chapter 4.

Old-school sound made with analog modular synth - the old way. . . The reverb is a spring reverb - what else. . . ?.

This is made in vcv-rack a virtual modular synthin the left channel you hear a "quantussy cell" working. In the right channel there is a krell patch going.

As i was working in an incidental sound i was continuously recording. All i saved was the ending. 2 seconds. But the sound is nice. Something in-between bass sound and bass drum sound… if you find use of it let me know.

Thought i wanted to explore fm-modulation a bit further. The sound is going through my ladik reverb. The vco i'm fm-modulate is the intellijel μvcf. A filter really. . . No editing in audacity. This is the result. Sorry for long sound. . .

Two envelopes trigger each other and the quantizer which is fed with cv from the sloth lfo. Anyway, a modular synth experiment. A triangle wave from an lfo acts as a bass tone.

. . . But i recorded this. I recorded the sound to celebrate my first stereo patch. Yep, now i have squeezed in three mixers and will be able to make stereo effects on my modular.

A patch with a changing sequence made on analog modular synth. Spring reverb and analog delay. The changes are made with an chaos lfo. Its 10 min loop!.

I made the vcf self-oscillate at a frequency of ca 270hz then i connected a sinus wave vco to cv1 and swept all the frequencies.

I'm rebuilding and downsizing my synth. Which modules should i keep. Doepfer a-124 is that a keeper or not? maybe i keep it, but not in the starting eleven?.

Modular synth patch where two envelopes are involved in a chase. There could have been a rhythm, but i let chaos disturb theharmony. The square wave sounds are "distorted" in a wave rectifier. I tune my oscillators without caring about "real" tones. The quantizer makes the steps between tones.

The inspiration for this track came from a stereo cross-fading delay patch for modular synths i found, created using caustic 3. 2 with my akai mpk mini keyboard as usb-midi controller with a bit of a tangerine dream style.
