Recorded this while going to the loo in a camping trip. The door was pretty creaky so i decided to record it because it could be a good sound effect. Of course i didn't have any equipment with me so the sound was recorded on my phone, which is why it's a bit echoey and shabby. Feel free to use however you please, you don't even need to credit me! :).

I mounted the mic inside and on top of the car and drove trough the city, recording some ambulance, traffic, and a scooter that was tooting, later i turned of engine, opened and closed the car door and startet the engine, maybe you find it useful, let me know :). I used the equipment described in my profile.

Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door and aimed slightly off-axis so as to capture more of the natural room sound/reverb. I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed on-axis for a more direct recording (it still has a slight bit of room sound - that was what i wanted for these two recordings). Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).

Back again! this sound effect is of the lid of some kind of container (i don't even remember what!!) being popped on and off. There are two different sound effects (pulling the lid on, and pushing it back on). Hope you like it!. Thanks for letting me waste your time!. P. S. This is a stereo recording of an exterior glass and metal door on a university campus in new jersey, usa. There are several articulations of the door here that lend themselves to creature and robot noises. There is a whimper and a sigh and a screech as well as some ticking and clicking. This reminded me very much of baby godzilla type noises. I've put these into iris 2 and had a good time making synth patches with them. Stereo recording at 48khz 24bit on a tascam d-40x using the internal microphones.

Setting time on the microwave. Microwave in operation for 30 seconds, after operation there are openning and closing microwave door sounds.

An attempt to fill a request for the sound of rummaging through a wooden chest (trunk) filled with wooden toys. . . This features the opening of the trunk and various latch/locks being used for opening/closing.
