Tambourine has a wooden ring, plastic film striking surface, and four pairs of metal disk jinglers. A fast, very intense shake.

Scenario: dog is given a treat on a tempered-glass dinner plate, which he licks clean. Plate remains on the no-nap outdoor carpet, unnoticed, because it isn't terribly important that it be picked up right away. In the meantime the wrapped-up power cord to a shop vac falls to the floor, right next to it. As i walk by i accidentally kick the electrical plug, striking the plate. Woww gotta record that. . .

Recorded with zoom h2n 3 channel ambisonic b-format (no z track), rail runner train leaving station in abq, nm. *note: you will need to decode this b-format ambisonic file with a plug-in such as the surroundzone2 which allows you to decode the file to a surround, stereo, or mono format. Also note that these are fuma bformat files converted from ambix format.

Recorded with h5 and some metal tools i have, falling on solid wood. Then the sound has been slow down. 48khz/24bit.

Strega almost reproducing the organ at the royal albert hall (ha ha ha!). Just a sequence from 0-ctrl fed into rings, strega and karplus-strong (mu) of mimeophon. Octave lower reproduction using morphagene. Erbe-verbe adds depth. Outs to x-pan. Rendered @48khz 32bit with markers for all you morphagene fans out there. This is popcorn popping and i recorded it with my yamaha pocketrak and slowed it down in sony sound forge. It sounds like an alien language. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

Exactly what it says. Didn't hurt much. I suggest adding a reverb/echo to get the classic ring, although realistically it really is only a dull thump. Recorded with an h1.

The repercussions of hitting a metal pole with a small metal gate, at the bottom of a 10 story stairwell. Causes the gate to rattle and shake. Recorded with an iphone 6.

Another "holy" ambient sound, made by layering a synthesized voice speaking/singing part of the lord's player several times to create a ringing drone with a sustained chord in the background. Made in fl studio.

Old mechanical door bell, not in best condition. Rattles while the switch is closed (whether it's designed to do that i don't know) and clicks rather loudly on the low bell. Not much decay.

A walk in a forest above the town of drammen on a lovely spring day. Birds were twittering and chirping, a woodpecker was pecking, oak leaves were shaking and church bells were ringing.

This sound is a recording of the bell of a bicing bike. It is a sound object used in the sonic ensemble soundscape. Called percussive due to its impact characteristics. It was recorded using a zoom h4 recording device at roc boronat street in front upf campus, barcelona. Recorded for the sound creation lab project. The recording was edited with a fade in and out effect.

Made this sound myself with some visual basic programming. I used it as a ring tone to tell me i have a message. It is a burst of a rtty-like sound. You may want to trim the silent tail.

All i did was cleaned up the annoying ringing noise heard throughout the old version, removed some light hiss and reversed the music to go both forwards and backwards.

Several hits on a wok pan lid produced these low pitched metallic rings that were interesting to me. I used a soft foam insulation piece to hit the lid and recorded it with a zoom h5.

Not much to say, found a ceramic bell at a thrift store for 2$ and thought the sounds might be useful to someone.

Created using tracktion waveform-10. I used 3 instances of the builtin synth subtractive, 1 was for the body of the snare the other 2 were the noise to try and replicate the wires of the snare, finally i used zynaddsubfx to create the transient. There was some eq applied to boost key frequencies in around 200hz and mastermix plugin to compress the audio.

In an antique store in laconner, washington i saw a old black desk rotary dial telephone. I dialed the numbers 1 through 0 and recorded them on my cell phone. It's a fairly clear recording and different from the other rotary dial sounds here. I rolled off the low end a bit to get rid of some ambient noise in the store.

An artistic experiment searching for sound emissions and the limit of human hearing. Composed of infrasonic material that have a lot of harmonic distortion. Humans will be able to identify tones as low as 12hz. From 1000 hz the auditory system decreases. Natural and human produced infrasonic sounds is anywhere, all the time. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. Made for project that was never released. Think somebody might enjoy or use it.
