A wonderful slice of small town life. Recorded august 27 2022 at a small town baseball game in southern illinois. Not a huge crowd, but you hear the murmur of parents, kids and of course the crack of the steel bat against the baseball. Especially good with headphones on, as i recorded this in stereo. Equipment: zoom f3. Microphones: em clippy 272 omni-directional microphones on microphone stands located 38 inches apart. Enjoy this timeless summer soundscape representing all that is good. Sounds of summer. The parrots raid the 'umbrella" tree outside my house. Their cacophony is distracting and exciting. Someone, a few houses over, is mowing their lawn, a fortnightly necessity during the tropical wet, providing another iconic sound to the urban summer.
