This is the sound of gentle rain and distant thunder recorded from the roof in sussex on the 29-05-2017, this storm was very severe out in the channel and towards the east coast, but here it was a mainly soothing experience.

I record this raining ambient sound using mobile phone. Hope it help you to create good films/movie.

January 30, 2014. A major ice storm moves in to the east coast of the united states. Sitting in a small cabin in the woods of north carolina, the sound of ice particles (sleet) hitting a stove-pipe can be heard. It's cold. It's bleak. The power has just cut off. One morning i was walking my dog it was very windy. I heard a tree that had fallen several years ago, make a squeeky sound towards another tree. I used the sound on old footage on a wooden-boat.

I created this thunderstorm on logic from some of my recordings.

This dawn thunderstorm was emitting regular, though unusually quiet rolling thunder as it passed over. A bird chirps nearby throughout and a neighbour's wind chimes ring occasionally. Recorded using a zoom h2.

This clip was made because i was looking for a strong thunderstorm sound effect for a school play. I wasn't able to find one that was strong enough for what i wanted, so this. Mp3 was made in audacity from three other audio files from freesound - they are #s 27247, 2521, and 87472. This information is also in the 'comment' metadata of the mp3 file. As far as i can tell, this is the "strongest" storm available on freesound as of early february 2010. (i could be wrong of course!). If there is interest, i can upload an uncompressed aif of the audacity track (it'll take awhile) but i figured there was no point since 2/3rds of the files used were originally mp3's from here. Hope this helps someone looking for a long, strong storm with high winds, loud rain, and many thunderbolts! (the thunderbolts are duplicated throughout the file; the original file contained a much more natural and less angry storm).
