Created with a doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer sequenced by a korg sq-1 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle and hd reverb. Audio source is a self-resonating, modulated doepfer a-108 vcf8. The reverbs ran in series. The manual states that the particle reverb is based on the line6 m9 particle verb. This is version 2 of my 3 knocking on a door sound i used audacity to edit it and i recorded it with my yeti microphone. I thought that you could use it too. My peers and i recorded this in the learning audio booth. We used a plastic hamster wheel and spun it into the mic. We edited the recording separately and mine came out eerie and atmospheric.

What if we could hear sounds from another planet ?. In this imaginary place, people can visit zoos under water. Here is the sound of a yhtem, recorded by a visitor from inside his personal submarine. The recording device was found by a member of the zoo staff, as it was floating over the water. It gave no more informations about what happened to the visitor, except that according to several monster's specialists, the yhtem « sounded hungry ». In the real world, this sound was created using the sound of a very brief scream. At the background was a noisy street, and some cars were passing by. I used two different screams and mixed them, before decreasing speed and tempo in audacity. -. Xson « cannelé ». Le son « d'arrière plan » est étouffé, plutôt doux, mais il y a des « accents » rugueux, acides, lors du grognement. L'attaque est graduelle. On distingue quelques notes, différentes hauteurs. Variation scalaire.

I was exporting a graphic in adobe after effects and the export had errors and came up with this sound. Thought it was pretty cool.

Created a loop in audacity by hitting an old coca cola collectors glass with a spoon in several locations, altering the pitch of these sounds, and applying them in a rhythmic fashion. Ended up with a kinda creepy march-like sound.

It's a classic song a drama part from movies. Attention, this is not original, it's remaked by me.

Recorded under a long, dark, low bridge on my local canal. Me laughing. Slowed by 5% in audacity. The result? -a chilling, maniacal, evil laugh. Recorded late at night in fog - so it felt scary even to us. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. It was saved. . . But nothing can save you! "muh, muh, muh ha ha haaaaa!".

Slow build to a realization. Made some sounds for a film i worked on. Thought i should share since i use so many of the sounds from this website. =).

Scary piano key hits with reverb used for a film project i just finished.

Made with audacity. Copy and paste it 4 times. The first track should not been changed. Change the pitch to +3 on the second track. Change the pitch to -3 on the third track. Change the pitch to -7 on the forth track. And change the pitch to -9 on the fifth track.

For "young frankenstein" i recorded three cast members howling. For play back, i'd vary speakers, delay, volume and echo effects to get a nice surround and spooky sound, that sounded a little different each time.

A creepy clown laugh inspired from sweet tooth from twisted metal. Source is my own voice. I tried to match this to the original inspiration with the cackle-like formants that sweet tooth's laugh has, which has been said to been from a sound library by a female sound designer working for singletrac.
