Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. The oscillators where tuned to the same tone one octave apart. Well. . . Not exactly. After having recorded i measured the frequencies 228,8 hz and 117,7 hz. . . But that made the output from the ring modulator interesting. What is generative with this? i modulate amplitude of the sounds and the decay for all thee sounds. This also affects the rhythm sound.

Wrote/recorded short a mellow dance song at 120 bpm in ableton live 9:muugy for synth sound. Jarble bass (ableton stock plugin) for bass sound. Kit-core 808 and kitcore jarble for percussion section. Imagine this track when a character tries to focus, meditate, or explore his new power or skills and enters into deep meditation. You can try this on your trailer type videos or cinematic short film. I composed a track with synth pads from kontakt 5 factory selection library, clocks from wavesfactory, and ozone imager, and built-in reverbs from fl studio. Then, after rendering the track, i set them all in reverse, and turn the pitch down and inserted a new tsar-1 reverb from softube.

This was meant to be a part of a track i was working on, but ended up getting caught up in something else. So, i decided to give this away to those of you who may have use for it. The most important effect used to make this was absynth 5's atherizer. If anyone needs any of my sounds (or sounds not yet uploaded) customized to meet their preferences, please feel free to let me know, and i'll see what i can do.

Here are some drums i made, on the synthesizer again. In order they are: parallel compressed kick, regular kick, snare, closed hi-hat and open hi-hat. The set before the break is mastered, while the set after the break isn't (i did throw a little limiter in there though just to boost 'em up a bit easily, but they're still not mastered). Enjoy. This was hella tough to make! and i used this program that turns picture into sound. It has paint tools, and you start with a black canvas, you draw up a pattern on it, and depending on the color, position, size, quality, format and translucency of the marks and lines you placed, you get sounds. Feedback loop involving jupiter storm, a-147-2vcdlfo and a-101-1 vactrol vcfcv injected from 2 x sloth and intellijel quadra expander in quadra moodsome spring reverb. After ~1min i switch "noise core disruptor" (jupiter storm) off. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is about 28 sec - goodonly short sounds - badamplitude variation - goodpitch variation - goodtimbre variation - goodmusical value - low to mediumentertaining - high, or what?. I've been looking for a similar effect for quite a few years and no one has built one. So, using a simple synth and bass drop worked wonders for what i needed. The sound effect is from the matrix and is the sound heard near the beginning when the police are attempting to arrest trinity, just before the agents get upstairs. When trinity jumps, this is that effect. My original concoction.

I don't know what combination of (free (as in beer)) vsts, ni komplete audio 2 interface, and behringer pro~1 synth produced this but i thought it was very soothing and definitely worth sampling!. The bass note at the beginning is f# if you want to use that as well ;). Was going to wait to upload a samplepack after i finish these 3 albums/compilations but this is just too good to sit on. This is a bassline of dnb, got 16 bars on 180 bpm or 8 bars on 90 bpm. I did it with a synth using abletondon't forget there is the possibility of you having to amplifier and compress for give more punch. Feel free for use it!. A tip from me to you is cut the bassline in pieces, explore all the locations where you can use for start a song. . . Use short parts of the bassline and use stretch and pitch techniques. This sample was created by layering short, improvised passages on a yamaha psr-275 into a boss dd-20 in sound on sound mode. Loop was played into a boss me-30 on harmonizer and pitch shifter settings, processed in real time, then faded out. Audio was further processed in goldwave (compression, added hiss, vibrato, etc. ) to give it a more believeable "old vhs tape" sound. I cut it to only include the most convincing segment of audio. (it's not perfect, but it's only an emulation!) 24 kbps, stereo.

An almost similar snare sound to that of idioteque in radiohead's 2000 album kid a. Though it is meant for experimental style, i think it would work with any form of electronic music. It was created by resonating noise from audacity, filtering it, fading it out, stretching it and compressing it. It has a characteristic sustain to it. Imagine it as a mix of a gunshot, cymbal, shaker and snare. Feel free to use it in any way you like. If you ever use it publicly or commercially, notify me so that i can hear how you used it.

A sample i made years ago. Pitched way down to create a seamless loop of ambience with two automated notch filters and an automated bandpass filter on flstudio's pmeq2. This is just a simple four to the floor kick drum pattern at 120 bpm. I created the kick itself by layering various synth timbres in rob papen's albino plugin. Processing was also applied such as compression, eq and using subtle distortion in specific frequency areas to get it sounding like this. A patch generating triggers not that random. . . The triggers are triggering an envelope generator and a sample and hold. The sample and hold cv is quantized following a minor 7th chord rules. The sound is generated by self oscillating vcfs. I love sinus wave. I will sell my triple oscillator now. It does not have sinus wave! the randomness is generated to old fashion way. I don't have any fancy random trigger modules. Bla bla bla. . . I stop there.

A simple multi-sampled synthetic spacebass pack, containing 25 samples, derived from 2 octaves of a home made soft-synth patch. The original quality was 24 bits with a sample rate of 88. 2khz, which i converted with a very good src to 16 bits and 44. 1khz. Not that is was that important after all considering the fact that the patch itself has a grainy character in the higher frequencies. . . No compressing, equalizing whatsoever involved, the panning is pretty wide tho, with left and right sounding rather different, but in stereo it still feels pretty balanced i think.

Inspired by the hustle and bustle of a trip to europe, i made such a short project. After listening for a while, it sounds like advertising music. Maybe it seems like a cleaning product or an application can be used to advertise. For those who want to develop, i can share the sample audio files i prepared for the project. 1 looping envelope and 2 vclfos in a dance. I think its harder for this combination to find a nice pattern - equilibrium. It happens sometimes. Maybe the mixture between positive and negative cv confuses the modules. Makes it harder. I start the recording with the looping envelope in non looping mode. After about 19 sec i switch to looping-mode. Records and hope that a pattern should emerge. This time there is a pattern. Yay! not 100% stable but that's perfect!okay, it is harder to recognize patterns when a sequencer is involved.

In this patch i use bastl instruments tromsø as comparator, sample and hold and oscillator (3 in 1). The cv is coming from nonlinearcircuits jerk off. The audio out from tromsø goes through nonlinearcircuits timbre!. Some delay from an analog delay pedal and reverb from doepfer spring reverb. One voice exploring a chaotic cv source. I sold one of my tromsøs a while ago. Will i regret that? psssst take a closer look at the wave form! the wave folder is doing its work!.

Friday. Random. Why this madness? answer: i have patched s/h (sample and hold) random to doepfer a-160 clock divider and that affects the a-161. For the sake of it i patched one of the gates to the ladik r-110 rnd t/g (random trigger and gate). Result much more randomness than i can use. I can tell you that there is a lot of blinking diodes :-) sounds from doepfer a-110 and 2hp osc and sampler soundmachines ul1uloop.

This is a stereo recording of an exterior glass and metal door on a university campus in new jersey, usa. There are several articulations of the door here that lend themselves to creature and robot noises. There is a whimper and a sigh and a screech as well as some ticking and clicking. This reminded me very much of baby godzilla type noises. I've put these into iris 2 and had a good time making synth patches with them. Stereo recording at 48khz 24bit on a tascam d-40x using the internal microphones.

Cptnal's comment on muffwiggler was an big aha moment. He wrote "you could patch the output of one s&h into the input of the next and get yourself a 12-step shift register. " well i don't have 12 s/h. I have 10. . . I would need a lot of sequenced gates to build that shift register. . . In this patch i use 4 s/h. (s/h or s&h is sample and hold. ).

Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.

Test of how uoki-toki polivoks vcf handles sin-wave (ca 270hz) when the filter is self-oscillating. I bring the uoki-toki polivoks vcf to self-oscillation and tune the vcf to ca 270hz too. The vco is also tuned to 270hz. In this test i connect the same lfo to cv1 on the vcf and 1v/oct on the module i use as vco (intellijel μvcf). I let the lfo run. Cv1 on vcf pot at 100%. They are playing together. The vco is connected to the in on the vcf. Confused explanation. . . But at least not in swedish.

I wanted to make a very gentle wakeup alarm for my android phone. It's a 25-minute long fade in of a pure 3-khz tone. Created with audacity. One of a series of heavily processed recordings i made using a hikari monos cv. It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. Using s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, i focused on generating short, punchy impulses that leaned into the resonant character of the original monos recordings. These sounds might be useful for ui buttons, as well as designing modern-retro sounds for games.

It's a small, highly tweakable synthesizer that's great for drones, resonant pings, and all manner of dynamic electronic sounds. ‘slayer’ refers to s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin made by twisted tools. By layering, blending, and mulching the original monos recordings, i was able to get a range of sounds the are dynamic, punchy, and unabashedly stereo. These might be useful for edgy-sounding ui elements.
