British bird song in mixed woodland during spring. Sound of small stream burbling in the background. Using a galaxy phone in 'interview' mode ('stereo') whilst slowly rotating around. My dog can be heard whining for a short period saying "why have we stopped on our walk?!".

It is dusk on an autumn evening on the south side of the river thames, a few feet downstream from vauxhall bridge. Innumerable starlings have congregated in a murmuration underneath (in fact inside the fabric of) the bridge to noisily discuss the day before sleep. Overhead, cars and buses thump across the bridge panels, while small groups of city workers, nurses and spies head home or for drinks. All the while the river laps away as an unconscious heartbeat, and is churned up by the thrum of a passing riverboat.

The sounds of birdcalls in port stephens, nsw, at around 6am in spring time. November 2015. There are doves, curlews, magpies, rainbow lorikeets, corellas, and different sea birds. At 17:20, the kookaburras kick in, and at 17:38 you can hear a koala grunting. Recorded with a zoom h2, surround sound. Edited on premiere pro cc.

For the recording, i used the tree-ear method, holding the microphones on either side of a tree, which results in a very wide stereo field (considering the capsules are omni). It was recorded in my backyard on a winter day which was actually more like a spring day.

Five glorious minutes of the sound of ducks! recorded on the woodland lakes holiday park near thirsk in yorkshire. Over 100 mallard ducks descend onto a small man-made lake in the midst of the holiday cabins and then proceed to quack loudly and splash about in the water. Swiss forest, sunny winter morning, on a small mountain. The cracks and other falls are due to the snow that melt in the sun and fell from the top of the trees. It was beautiful. Recorded in stereo with h5n, and processed a little bit to reduce the wind.
