A friend and i have carefully re-created a sound very similar to his boom sound from scratch using thor synths and reverb in reason 7 and cubase with some tweaking in soundforge. This one's totally public domain, creative commons, non-attribution pro-commercial use! and it sounds just like herbert's. Remember,. This is not herbert boland's sound. Here is a recording of a firework display that was put on to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the bridge in eglisau switzerland. 96khz 24bit/s.

Made in ableton live. Layered together out of various explosions sounds and a kick drum. One sound layer ran through a guitar amp for distortion. Low-fi-ish.

This is a long recording taken in the backyard of my neighborhood on july 4, 2021. There are lots of distant (and a few closer) booms and explosion sounds. Kind of sounds like a war going on! in this longer recording a plane also flies overhead, and someone drives down the street.

A sound what i recorded: pull something over parquet. I hope you like it :).

Lots of strong bass on this set. The bass sound was produced by lowering the frequency to about 20 on reaktor - arobic. Amazingly, it sounds fun.

Maybe this is a bit too loud. The overdrive and the crazy percussion instruments adds a bit too much on this loop. I think it needs to be refined.

The bass melody was produced by applying a modulation to the frequency of the bass. Not much has changed from 003.

This is a variation of the loop: 005 from the mitosis pack. The odd bass sound (or melody) is the result of tweaking too much with the modulation.

Back to a normal loop. This loop contains more noise. . . Though they sound like a rough shaker in the background. The bassdrum is slightly not prevalent.

The mitosis pack contains several loops with melodies. I removed the modulation and let the bass run without changing a pitch for this loop. See also loops 005 and 6.

This one has an extremely thick bass that pulsates crazily. At the same time, it sounds like a low tom sound.

Back to normal. Nothing really special here excepting the unusual tom sound that seems out of pitch.

Finally, another normal loop. Nothing much again, but the difference is significant.

I changed the synthesizer's ranges and played a bit with reaktor's structures until i realized i was playing with the frequency range. The result is a radically different sound that sounds more like a machine.
