A 24bit 29khz stereo recording of quite a rowdy sheep herd in a field. Has some very faint wind noise, but if used as ambiance it would not be noticeable. Farm at dawn in the countryside near le havre (france), some roosters at different distance, tawny owl and some circulation starting in the distance. Sony pcm d100recorded the 8 of december 2017, 6am.

A chicken yard in the transsylvanian village of țichindeal/romania. Some 300 chickens, along with 2 pigs and some geese are going about their business, a farmhand can be heard filling a water trough at the beginning. Slightly more wide-angle than the two other chicken yard recordings. Recorded with a rode nt-sf1 and matrixed to stereo.

Mournful cows mooing in the night. These are my neighbor's pasture-raised cattle and they have a pretty good life but about this time every year he has to wean the calves. He separates the calves from their mothers. They are on opposite sides of a fence. The fence is a single electric wire. The mothers and their calves are inches from each other but not in the same field. It makes me so sad to hear them in such distress but they seem to get over it in a few days.
