This is a 9+ minute recording of me driving in los angeles traffic at night. Various turn signal sounds, brake pedal pushes and releases, and at various points you hear outside traffic passing. Not sure if it's useful, but here it is anyway. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

Thunder sound synthesized from a randomly generated tone, and processed (in audacity) with: multivoice chorus, harmonic sythesizer, tons of gverb, 2-second delay, and fade-in/fade-out where appropriate. After checking my mail i was walking back to the house and heard this plane approaching. I always carry my yamaha pocketrak and got it going just in time to catch this low flyover. This is the ambience inside the elevator in a shopping center that's going up 2 floors; there's 2 women riding it besides me: one is carrying a full shopping bag and the other is texting on her iphone. I recorded this with my pocket digital voice recorder.

A close-up recording using the m/s technique. It is the recording of a simple small-sized fan. I really liked the low-frequency sounds it generated when i got the mic close. In the range of three octaves, sung by me in 13 tracks. Not completely in tune. The first one is unedited sound. The second is transposed an octave lower. The third is transposed two octaves lower. In the fourth all the latter are sounded together (39 voices). The transposing makes a peculiar effect to the voice specially in the second (12 semitone) transposition.

My nightstand's lamp is an antique, it works electrically but also has a hole to use oil with it. This is the sound of me turning it off and on then unscrewing the cap on the hole. Could be used as interesting found-sound percussion, very similar to my oil drum sounds.

A guitar through defective self-modulating delay. The time potentiometer went "bad" after years of hard twisting and abuse, and now it warbles and pitch-shifts on it's own. It's very temperamental, though. The pedal is a johnson "ead-2 analog echo delay". May be useful for an outro or something! let me know if you use it, i'd love to hear the results!.

The sound is a mic going to a boss me-30 on pitch shifter setting, to various other effects, and then to a boss dd-20 in sound on sound mode, then to an alesis nanoverb. All the sounds are my voice being effected/looped by the pedals. The beginning part is a cough with another vocal sound layered which sounds similar to a violin. . . Recorded direct to sound card.

The sound of me banging on a metal folding chair after i reversed it and added reverb to it. I also made another layer of the same sound un-reversed underneath it so it would not be too abrupt. This is me reading a list of numbers to type in to create a sonic effect on my computer. (think -514. 0001. ) i first reversed it and added reverb to it and reversed it again. Then i duplicated it two times and changed the pitch of the duplicates by five semitones up and down. Enjoy, and above all, don't be creeped out! made with audacity.

Recording of a building construction site with high winds; contains equipment drones, backup beeps, some backhoe noises, and occasional high wind with whistling. Recorded on an amazon basics usb condenser mic in stereo mode, and normalized to max volume before upload. This was originally me trying to record the wind sound, but there's really too much construction noise, so let's not waste it! :).

I have no idea what this was. I don't know if it's my voice or an external sound i didn't hear while recording. It was found randomly on my most recent recording of playing containment breach, and it was very quiet, so i increased the volume to try and figure out what it was, but it's still a mystery to me. I made this using audacity to reform and change the frequencies for a few sounds i recorded at my desk which were made with a lighter, imitating the sound of a water drop with my voice, a rotating object hitting different things (cans, lighter, wooden desk, etc. , my creaky chair, me imitating a fly with my voice and finally, tapping on an empty can.
