Recorded on 21/02/2010 at approx. 9am standing next to the grossmunster church in zurich, switzerland. Recorded with a zoom h2 in 2-channel surround mode, with a windshield (but unfortunately there is still a bit of wind noise towards the end when the police siren starts). File has not been modified, only cut short from a longer recording. Note: this is the original wav file of the mp3 posted on freesound.

This is the first of two recordings documenting the transatlantic shortwave radio transmissions by w1zy on february 12, 2019 in performance of the "extremely low elevation angle" experiment, detailed in w1zy's blog here: http://www. Qrz. Com/db/w1zy. It is being posted in 2021 upon initiation of the full archiving of all audio files generated during the saltwater vertical operation from succotash salt marsh in matunuck, r. I.

This is a recording i made using my tascam dr-40 field recorder. Used the xy pattern, no post-processing, just some edits to cut off unwanted noise, wind puffs and stuff. It was recorded in santo andre, state of sao paulo, brazil. This sample has street sounds, with rain, people chatting (in portuguese), bird sounds, cars, bikes and airplane sounds.

Sounds of the "porto mirabello" from la spezia. You will hear sounds of boats tied up in the harbour; sounds of water clashing with the platform; sounds of people chatting; far away you can hear also boats navigate into the port. It was recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). Recorded in a sunny, calm-windy afternoon. The sound was no post-processed.

Impulse response generated from field recordings of a parking garage. Recorded using an audio technica bp4029 m/s shotgun microphone into a zoom h4n recorder. This recording is part of a pack of impulse responses comparing different recording and post-processing techniques. Sfx for a mail being delivered through a mail slot. It is a recorded with a hinged piece of metal screwed to wood because i no longer live in a place with a mail slot but needed the sound. Sounds a little thinner than a real one but it served my purposes. Recorded on a sd 702 with an ntg1 in a small video studio with cement floor and treated walls and ceiling. The beefier dropping mail sound was recoded in a small hallway with tile floor.

Recording of rain in a small town with some thunder, cars and birds. Plane passing by in the sky. Recorded with sound devices mix-pre-6 ii and two mxl 603s mogami custom mics in din stereo. Recorded in 192khz/32bit. Post editing with rx8: low/high cut with eq to reduce rumble and noise, also gain increased and cut to length. Converted to 320kbps/cbr mp3.

Recorded on a moto g5 plus (smartphone) using easy voice recorder (android). Processed with audacity for a more consistent tone and volume.

This is an extended version of my previous entry recording of the radio patch from the houston fbi field office i recorded from my police scanner. They do a radio check test every thursday night. They call various federal agencies around the houston area in the new p25 digital radio system, not analog. Some of the agencies respond, some do not. I wanted to post this so the other agencies could be heard during the radio check. Enjoy!.

Glass beer bottle blow sounding like the background "whoo" effect in the movies alien and blade runner. Mono. Old school spot effect. Helmholtz resonance using a partially-filled (for pitch tuning) glass beer bottle. The resulting tone was sampled, bandpass filtered, pitch bent and laid over a copy of the original sample. Reverb added post-effect to push the sound back and smooth out some nasty quantizing artefacts caused by the pitch bender.

Sounds recorded directely from a boat stopped in front the beautiful baia blu (la spezia, italy). You can hear the waves clashing with the boat, the sounds of the sea, the people in the distance laugh and play, and a dip from the boat to the sea. It was recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). Recorded in a sunny, calm-windy afternoon. The sound was no post-processed.

I've been working on a plugin for unity to allow users to create short loops from arrangements of other loops. Seems to be working pretty well, pretty much like a low-tech version of acid. Anyways, this was a little arrangement i made as a test, and i kinda like it so i thought i'd post it here for feedback and such. Feel free to use this loop for any project in any way, credit is not required.

Birds tweeting in the garden with sound of freeway (highway) behind. Traffic noises include hum, cars, and trucks. Occasional use of exhaust braking. Birds are in the garden chirping and tweeting. Useful for a urban garden or other similar scenario. Two microphone setup, both are shure sm57s. Placed on two stands, one channel is nearer to freeway, the other is nearer to garden. Recorded with a behringer umc202hd at 192khz and downsampled to 48khz for upload. No other post-processing.

This audio is not a sound effect itself, however it can be used with an impulse response plugin to recreate the acoustics of a particular environment. This particular file is designed to replicate the acoustics of distant muffled club or rave. This was done using the "profiler stereo lsp plugin" and placing the microphones on the opposite corner of the speaker in a highly reverberous house forcing the audio to reverberate around a corner. After this, a low frequency boost was applied in post along with other general cleanup of the audio.

This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. If anyone knows the reason please post it in the comments. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

A friend sent me an audio file that wasn't supported by windows media player. When opened in audacity, this is what it came out to be (but it was way louder. ) once i converted the original file into mp3, i was able to get the actual file, but i wanted to save this broken one too. The original file was her doing a vocal audition for me, so i posted the broken audio in wav form so no one could take it.

The following soundscape is the result of a capture sequence shot where the microphone is held in a fixed point choosing not to use motion or panning. There have not been used post-production tools used and the chronological development of events is preserved as it was developed during the 11:00:00 and 11:03:30 in the plaza santísima faz located behind the town hall of the city of alicante a tuesday in july 2015. You guys are probably wondering why i haven't been posting many sounds for the last month well number one so i can upload a lot of sounds at once and two i have been pretty busy with track and play practice. So now here is a bunch of sounds that were created by me either covering up or bumping my mic which i hope you will enjoy.

Street noises and atmosphere from a walk up first ave and across 14th street, east village, nyc. Including one very loud siren that goes from left to right. Includes a quick pop-in to the quiet lobby of the post office. I'm pretty happy with the recording overall, but the road noise sometimes sounds a bit muddied.

I have a knack for the reprehensible as some may have gathered. It comes naturally. So every once in a while my partner sings about it.
