This recording was made inside the room of my apartment in italy in the province of rieti, where i am carrying out a second flight test of my eachine e130 single-rotor radio-controlled helicopter, during the recording we also hear some small incidents. A solo violin sample from edirol orchestral was used a base, using pitch bend and then layering against pitch shifted copies of the original. Then lots and lots and lots of reverb and maybe other effects. I spent way too long on this for no certain outcome but actually it was perfect for the radio drama i was theoretically producing it for.

Ostensibly, this is supposed to be a cleaned-up version of the famous radio transmissions recorded by the judica-cordiglia brothers in november of 1963, in which it appears that a female russian cosmonaut perished during a botched atmospheric reentry. What it actually is, is a combination of background sounds and a static-edited recording of a female vocalist (stellarcricket), featured in one of my completed audio projects. A soundscape from my debut album, "summer crickets. . . " takes several field recordings of rural summer ambiance and mixes them with my own acoustic guitar strumming. I also mixed in some am radio vocal snippets, resulting in a unique ambient piece that relaxes and unsettles simultaneously. -recorded entirely with tascam dr-03 at 48 k / 24 bit.

My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. Feel free to use this sound however you may please, you don't even have to credit me. It would be appreciated if you did though!.

Disclaimer: this may be loud. Check your volume. This sound is an experiment i did for a short film my crew and i are working on. I wanted to see if i could make a warning effect like the civil defense messages that play on the radio for storms and other emergencies, so i recorded my voice, and pitched it down, equalized it, put it through a high pass filter and lo and behold, i think it sounds pretty darn close. I then coupled it with a couple alert tones from my local noaa / nssl station and this sound was born. This effect could be used for an apocalyptic scenario or civil unrest, riots, looting, or anything else you desire. Not required, but it would be cool to hear if you use it for anything. Enjoy!.

If i remember it was recorded late at night outside my bedroom window, i'm quite sure it was a taxi. Location: middlesbrough, england, uk.

This is an a gathering of college students having a backyard get together with a bean bag toss (cornhole) as the primary entertainment. Male and female voices, profanity, and the sound of bean bags landing on the boards. I was looking for a sound that fitted a dance studio/recording studio reception area so i mixed a few sounds together and came up with this. It has traffic sounds, various bird sounds, indistinct chatter, a thumping bass in the background like in a room on the floor above and a harmony group practising somewhere else in the building. Could be useful for a radio play, movie scene or theatre play.

This is a short, but detailed audio recording from my police scanner. It is the "ending" of a dea surveillance being held in my local community. You will hear the dea agents (ground units) following the target suspect as he leaves home, then eventually at the end, you will hear the local pd meeting up with them to stop and capture the suspect. Because of the short-range distant of the dea's radio transmissions, some audio will be "scratchy", yet it is audible. Enjoy!.

This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas.
