I recorded a thunderstorm with my samsung galaxy m20 out of my bathroom for 10 minutes. There is a corrugated plastic roof, which gives the rain a nice, but also a tinny sound. That's why highlighted the bass sounds and reduced the high noises for a better experiance. I also looped it, so it is 30 minutes long with fade-in and fade-out. Enjoy!.

A thunderstorm in the distance.

A distant storm can be heard from the center of barcelona.

This caught my attention as an unfamiliar sound, and i actually had to investigate to learn what it was. It was the raindrops hitting some styrofoam bodyboards near a swimming pool, which at times sounded almost more like a hollow "pop" than a "drip. ". In the background one can hear thunder, rain, and the humming of a pool filtration system. Recorded with an iphone 7.

Finally, a month after i needed it for my last film, i got really good foley of a spectacular thunderstorm. Here's 10 min of the best part. I can't use it right now, but maybe others can. It contains steady, heavy rain with peals of thunder at various distances.

Wind noise, made from several segments of white noise with different eq and flange settings, cross-faded to form one long loop. Hey,. I tried to create an acceptable recording of a thunderstorm. Unfortunately i live near a freeway, so it was impossible to filter out the car noises. . . And also the wind blows a little disturbingly into the mic. . . Anyway, the recording turned out better than expected. Feel free to use it for whatever u could need it for. . . . I recorded with a zoom h4n in 44. 1khz wav quality.

I believe this was recorded with a sound devices 702 and a neumann rsm 191 stereo shotgun in a concrete stairwell. You can hear the rain hitting the stairs and going down the drain. It's also hitting some junk at the top of the stairs. There are big thunder claps and more distant rumbles.

This sound was created by using the memo feature of my digital camera. It was recorded while standing under an overpass during a rain storm. If you listen carefully, you will hear traffic overhead and the rain pelting the ground nearby.
