Recording of footsteps on a wooden floor, wearing shoes (sneaky petes). I walk from a solid wood floor to a corridor, up a short flight of stairs to another room with a laminated wood floor, then back to the first room. The ambiance changes slightly in the different rooms. I used an sm58 and an irig pro on an ipad using garageband and mastered in cubase.

A simple sine wave beep running through soft saturation and modulation, then being exported deliberately at 8khz and 8bit to simulate the low quality of a phone call. Use this as a standard beep sound coming through a phone speaker. The latter half is a little faster to enable a simulation of hanging up or the call being rejected.

This is a foley recording i did for a cinematic nature documentary. In the scene you see lions pulling the guts out of a recently killed bison. As the sound assistant didn't want to get too close, i simulated the sound by mushing up a plate of lasagne in front of a pair of rode nt5's. Very suitable for zombie movies - have fun! :).

I was trying to make a subtle beat in the background of a song and turned up the cutoff and got this. It sounds like a robot frog to me, and i figured i might as well post it in case someone gets any use out of it. Changes pitch every four bars. 100 bpm.

This is the warm up then lift off of an erickson sky crane. It was operating out of the central cascade mountains in washington state, in the us. This helicopter is for fire fighting, and can carry 3,000 gallons of water or retardant to a fire - it's enormous. There are only 31 sky cranes in existence, and in august of 2018 we have two of them fighting fires in our surrounding mountains.

Some sound i accidentally made while recording something with my webcam mic. If i recall this was a sound i made after sipping some water. However, because of my webcam mic's lo-fidelity, it ended up sounding like a great menu accept sound for a game.

I live next to a car repair place and they have a couple of hot rods that they fire up now and then. This is a '55 chevy and to me the idle sounds like a dragon breathing. He does a couple of slight burnouts and you can hear the echo off the buildings. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited with sony vegas with one track duplication. It's a recording of sounds of an old store refridgerator. The recorder (zoom h2) was put into the fridge. There are sounds of fridge getting opened and closed, started up and stopped. It was recorded in a dance studio, hence the music in the background audible in the beginning. Lots of interesting noises this fridge makes. Recorded with zoomh2 rear mics from inside of the fridge. Converted to flac using audacity.

What's up! this is my firts sample i put here. With some big spherical card tube i do some kind of ''brrrrrrrr'' with my mouth. So that give me this sample i have here for all of you. I reverse it allready, so if you want to listen to the original sound of the record you will need to reverse it. . . But don't give a lot of diference. Feel free for use it!.

I used one of those blank plastic cds that you sometimes get when you buy cd holders. I broke it up into many pieces and dropped them multiple times adding on the ending to make it sound like the leftover pieces bounce. Sorry about the backround noises, recorded on a laptop with the fan running and a tv in the backround. Came out pretty good though. I was satisfied in the end though.

This is an under water recording of some bubbles. I filled up a laundry bin with water, stuck a sennheisser md21 (dynamic omnimic) wrapped in a plastic bag in there (under the water level). I pumped bubbles from the bottom of the bin through a bicycle pump. Gear used: md21 -> m-audio dmp3 -> terratec ewx2496. Completely unprocessed, 2:43 of 24 bit 44khz wave. Submission for the earthfirewindwater contest.

Made using two synths. One is a noise generator that has been pitched down three octaves. It has a 12-hertz sine tremolo on either side, one of which is offset by half a wavelength. The other synth is a deep organ playing e3 and g3. I cut the sound in audacity, and the waves line up perfectly, so you don't need to worry about looping it badly.

This time a more abstract sound clip which in that case was prerecorded (bell 1) altered to the extend and used from mono back to eight channel ending up l+r. Although its abstract atmosphere the modular effects rings on a specific structure using 20th century harmony "rules" and of course tempo. Enjoy!.

This monstrosity is what i got when i attempted to add a reduce vocals effect to an episode of an old low-budget nickelodeon show from the 90s. I don't know why, but trying to apply this effect to it only gave me this horrific garble. Kinda like a messed up tape recorder or something, idk. Skype interference or feedback sound effect. Its the sound your computer makes if your speakers are too loud. What happens is that your computer plays the sound coming from the person on the other side and then it plays over there and then plays back on your computer, it builds up in waves. Just turn your sound down and it should go away.

It's a recording of water boiling in a kettle. You can hear the electric gas ignitor, the ignition and then warming up. The water was already very hot so this wouldn't take forever to boil. Then the whistley does it's job. Rising, steady, then the gas was taken out and the whistle slowly fades away. Very long natural fade-out. Recorded with zoom h2. Edited and normalized with audacity.

Walking on wood floor, medium pace, dress shoes. You can hear mild traffic noises outside. Recording with mxl 990 condenser, mic near the floor, used x-hum and z-noise plugins to clean it up.
