This jump scare sound was created by playing 2 dissonant chords on a single coil telecaster mic'd up w/ a vox ac 10 amp. The two guitar tracks are panned left and right- reverb and delay are added. The delay tail you can hear oscillates between left and right speaker as it fades. Additionally, frequency enhancers were added between 4khz - 6khz which adds a higher tonal energy in the upper range of the guitar. Gain is added which can be heard as signal noise mostly at the end of the clip. Enjoy. Bainmack.

This is a recording of scrap metal collection taken in pilton, edinburgh in august of 2022 at 4:40pm in the afternoon. The first thirty seconds are the sounds of scrap metal being loaded onto the truck (a trampoline if i remember correctly) and some talking. Then you hear the truck start up, and the message through the megaphone "any old scrap metal!" followed by a list of scrap metal items. At this point the truck is slowly driving away. This was recorded with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5.

Gem pathescope 9. 5mm projector, unit #1191, made in england. Recorded on a marantz pmd661 with a rode nt4 stereo mike. The gem is a variable speed projector, controlled by a rheostat. Speed for this recording was about 9 fps. Microphone was facing the gate of the projector, 10 cm away. Audio begins with power being turned on, ends with power being turned off. The end of the film leaves the take-off reel at 7. 10, exits the gate at 7. 22, and becomes free of the last roller at 7. 30, when the motor speeds up. The speed and audio-level variations during recording occurred naturally.

Going outside to check the mail. I go out the inner door and close it, you can hear the weather stripping dragging the floor, then go out the outer door onto the porch. I go over and check the neighbor's mail to take up to her later, then check our own, then go back into the apartment where you can hear the tv. Recorded with zoom iq7 & iphone se2020 using voice memos, then edited from the larger mp4 with goldwave on the pc.

The very unique call of the cuckoo recording on may 23rd, 2015 in southern illinois. This "singing" sounds like nothing else in the forest. They are not very common in this part of the country, so, i am very very fortunate to have captured this primal call on " tape ". Equipment used: marantz pmd661, with stereo samson co-2 microphones mounted on a tripod about 4 feet from the ground. I was set up on a trail on the edge of a large forested area which eventually leads down to a huge lake. Recorded around 6:30pm on a mild evening--partly cloudy and temp was 74 degrees.

Created in flstudio 11 with a commuted synthesis model for emulating engines and other cyclic mechanical sounds, also known as virtualmachine, by rurik leffanta. See http://www. Xoxos. Net/about. Html. Flstudio 3x osc noise was used as a hissing sound similar to venting of high pressure steam. The hiss is granulated to simulate a slight sputtering effect. As the machine tempo increases, lf rumble is introduced to evoke the notion of a rolling load. The rumble dies away as the machine slows down. 100% synthesised sound. No audio sample is present in this recording.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel with lfo routed to certin parts sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. These sounds remind me somehow of creepy film scores where the strings do that erratic pizzicato thing that sends tingles up your spine. Tell me what you come up with, i'd love to know!!.

Recording of my duduk. It's in the key of a, so i played a b3 and pitched it up to c3 with melodyne so it's usable in a sampler or to import as a wavetable in serum or whatever. Because of it's harmonic content, it actually works great as a clean yet relatively translatable sub bass for electronic music. I used it to make a wavetable in serum which works perfectly. The instrument is a double reed woodwind folk instrument from armenia, the reeds are made of a flattened piece of bamboo, and the body is made of the wood from an apricot tree. And it's history dates back to approximately 1200bc. Enjoy!.

A horrible sound for a contest, created by paulstretching the sound of an old photo-slide scanner six times, then slowly layering it on top of itself up by a semitone every second and adding reverb. Please comment on where you intend to use the sound, and feel free to post a link to the work where you used it if you want (i enjoy watching/listening to anything you create!). His first band Foolish Behaviour was formed around 1982, when he started jamming and recording tapes with assorted friends. A few cassettes and cd-r’s were privately released and various tracks turned up on compilations, most notably on Comfort Stand Recordings and blocSonic. In the meantime Kalnenek started his own label, WM Recordings, in 2004. After years of relative inactivity Marco Kalnenek’s first official EP “If Not For” finally appeared in May 2013.

Some raw and dirty random samples of a small, out of tune yamaha pianino (upright piano) at a friends flat. There's noise of my laptop and there even might be some traffic noise in the background. Also no string scratching etc. In this pack. Nevertheless i thought it might be better to share the samples, than to have them just rot on a drive. I suggest throwing them into your software or hardware sampler of choice, manipulate them and listen what you come up with. Cut in ocenaudio. No noise-reduction or other processing has been applied. Here in illinois, where we have a mandatory, stay at home order, the sounds of the morning winds and birds seem lonely. . . This was recorded on sunday march 29th, 2020. Usually this time of morning would also feature, people walking and talking on the sidewalk, more car traffic and church bells. . . . Recorded with the zoom f-4 recorder. The microphone was a sennheiser mkh-8060 literally pointed nearly straight up at a budding tulip poplar tree. The dominant feature is the constant river of whooshing wind. . . . . Seemingly underscoring the plight that is upon us.

Sound of a person who’s walking down and up slowly wooden stairs. It’s a “panoramic” sound, the mic was located in the middle of the stairs. Sound recorded with a zoom h4n pro. The rustling sound coming from palm trees can be used for other types of trees blowing in the wind.

I recorded this at late night in a rural german area at summer, approximately 150 - 200 meters away from the party (the party took place on a big and open field). The wind was blowing away from the people towards me, which is the reason, why you can hear the people well, even though there were trees between the people and the recording micorphone. Mabe you can hear a few cars very far in the distance along with the near taxis, picking the people up to take them home, too.

Using a blue yeti usb condenser mic on the cardioid pattern, i made a 30-minute recording of sounds from my sink (drips, splashes, different faucet pressures) and cut them up into 60 files, later edited down to 20. These were layered together and mixed with white, pink, and brownian noise. Slight noise removal done. Recorded some basic mic noise, and used a subtractive processor (reafir in reaper) to remove that sound from the final mix. Convolution reverb was added for a fairly realistic set-it-and-forget-it option. I've uploaded a dry version as well.

Sounds of a 15-year-old dog with laryngal paralysis chewing on a rawhide bone in her crate. (very sad to me as lela is a beloved family member and near the end of her life, but maybe someone can put all this suffering and racket to good use. ) at about the 01:17 mm:ss mark, things get louder because i leaned the recorder up against her crate, near her face. Prior to that the mic was about 5' away, on my kitchen table. I apologize for any unexpected clangs. I didn't edit this file, just uploaded it. Good luck. This is a plasma pulse engine for spaceships, hover bikes/ boards, etc. The engine starts up at 00. 000 ms. Then stage one starts at 02. 400 ms. Stage two at 04. 800 ms. Stage three at 07. 200 ms. Stage four 09. 600 ms. Then the engine shuts down starting at 12. 000 ms. To change "gears" set position to the stage start then play. To "run" in each stage loop from start time +. 144 to stage end time(next stage start time) -. 083. You may have to figit the numbers. I haven't actually tested any of this. I don't really program any more. But, in theory it should work.

Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.

The exciting thing about recording and cataloging natural sounds is how you get nice, unexpected surprises. I was up early recently one spring day and did not have any real plans to record, until i stepped outside with my coffee to see what the weather was like and was nicely surprised with the light, steady spring rain that was falling in my yard; during the whole time this energetic carolina wren kept on singing through the rain. I rain, got my recorder and recorded a full hour of this peaceful pattering. You hear the drops hitting the concrete patio, the shingled overhang and a plastic chair. Zoom h4n recorder using the stereo built-in mics.

My contribution to the freesouond collaborative performance of gyorgi ligeti's "poème symphonique for 100 metronomes". The metronome is marked "wittner" and "made in w. Germany". It ran for a little over 13 minutes at about 140. 7 bpm. Recorded on the hardwood floor of my bedroom, with the mic in front about 30 cm away. Equipment used: oktava mk102 mic, art digital mpa preamp, m-audio audiophile card. This sample is completely unprocessed. It looks limited or clipped, but i can't hear it - must be from the tube preamp (i had the gain cranked way up). It's pretty quiet, but if you listen carefully you may hear some noises in the background, especially near the beginning where i leave the room.
