An earthquake that ripples through from far away and then makes the roof of a house crack and cave in. Used audacity to manipulate a couple different sounds to create the rumble of the earthquake. Then i added the cracking noise in the same program from a different effect (wood breaking).

This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the huge door to out, then the lighter (which helps to feel the cold around) and the sound of someone smoking a cigarette. First of all, i cut the two fragment,from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the door sound. After i reduced noises, because all seemed better after noises reduced ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the lighter and smoker one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

A physical bell, electrically operated, ringing at the commencement of work in a typical factory. The sound was recorded with a rode nt4 stereo microphone and an edirol r44 recorder.

A little rectangular sheet of glass shattered with a rock. Captured with zoom h2. I collected all glass shards afterwards and put the into a trash can - no one will cut himself.

I used one of those blank plastic cds that you sometimes get when you buy cd holders. I broke it up into many pieces and dropped them multiple times adding on the ending to make it sound like the leftover pieces bounce. Sorry about the backround noises, recorded on a laptop with the fan running and a tv in the backround. Came out pretty good though. I was satisfied in the end though.
