Busy street in tokyo during the evening rush hour. I placed a pair of mics at 120 degrees between 2 stop lights on a busy street. There are 3 distinct "waves" of traffic let through the lights and all our recorded well. The panning is quite dramatic, so you really get a sense of movement.

In 's-hertogenbosch in holland we have carnival every year. This is a recording in the centre of the city. A recording of several 'dweilorkesten' that is a band that plays musing in the street. 'literal' translation is 'mop band or mopping band'. The go trough the streets like someone mopping the floor. This recording at the market-place is made with hundreds of people around. The ambience here is totally different from other places in the town and the world. It complete different than the south american carnival. Recorded: march 7th 2011, markt, 's-hertogenbosch, holland. Checked-in to a hotel in raleigh, north carolina with my wife to catch a flight early the next morning out of rdu.
