The apollonia is a mechanized organ and music machine. It was built in 1926 and resides in the musical instrument museum (phoeniz, arizona). It takes up the space of an entire wall. Tech notes: this is a stereo recording made with a sony pcm-d50 (onboard mics, close xy pattern). I failed to notice that the low-cut filter was engaged on the recorder, so the full bass range of the instrument was not properly captured. You'll need to hear it for yourself in person!.

Wrote/recorded short a mellow dance song at 120 bpm in ableton live 9:muugy for synth sound. Jarble bass (ableton stock plugin) for bass sound. Kit-core 808 and kitcore jarble for percussion section. Acoustic drums playing a groove reminiscent of abba's dancing queen, but at a slower tempo, 94bpm. Recorded with a zoom h2n in xy configuration slightly behind the drum set throne. Drums are yamaha stage custom (birch wood shells), except for the bass drum (a 16x12 inch kick from a millenium youngster kit).

Clap sound is created by modifying the brush sound with reverb and with equalizer cutting low frequencies.

The dancing fountain scene at bugis junction where the nozzles shoot up the water one by one from the water jet pumps. Note that the water jet system for the fountain itself may consist of 4 patterns but this sound effect uses one of them. There are two extra patterns where the water from the nozzles goes to the center.
