This is a complete firework that i had the opportunity to record in 2016 during the belgian national day. I was almost entirely at the front of the line. Recorded with tascam dr-100mkii onboard microphones.

I was looking for a smoke machine blast and a c02 gun blast for an after-movie sound design, but i couldn't find a proper sound on the internet, so with my sound design knowledge, i tried to replicate those noisemakers. Recorded in november 2006 at the "dom" (funfair) in hamburg by axel s. And me. Nice atmosphere, many different sounds. The recording was done with a sony md mz-909 and an "in ear stereo mic". We walked around through the crowd and recorded different fairground/funfair rides when passing by. .
