Soundscape of an enfolding air raid on a doomed city, period around world war ii, from some distance from the city itself. In the onset, the listener stands on a windy heath, and hears the air-raid sirens in the distance. Then come the bombers (propeller planes!), supposedly lancasters or so, passing overhead toward their target. . . I did this for a tv documentary, however i kept all rights and, as usual, you may use it free of charge and attribution. Enjoy.

This is my recording of a wwii vought f4u corsair prop airplane passing by. This is recorded at the military aviation museum in 1341 princess anne rd, virginia beach, va 23457 during the summer of 2021.

This is a missile sound effect. A missile flying in from the left and hitting an object. Great for battles.

This is the first version of cannon. Wav. I tried to make a sort of explosion with my voice, and added a compressor, reverb and a little bit of distortion. Slow mo cannon. Wav was edited a bit more.

This was recorded on july 4th, 2013 in enumclaw, wa. I was not expecting the bomber to fly over and it was a tribute to one of the last surviving members (edward saylor) of the doolittle raid on tokyo on april 18th, 1942. He was in the parade too. I can just imagine the sound of hundreds flying over in ww2. There is a bit of distortion as the plane flew directly overhead. Please comment on what you will use it for. :^).

Revolutionary war re-enactment players' marching band returns from battle, playing drum and fife.

Revolutionary war battle re-enactment, including musket and cannon fire as well as general background of yelling, and occasional bursts of drum and fife music. Recording was made across a large field, so natural reverb and echo are very prominent.

I recorded a transformer with a guitar pickup then broadcasted it from a speaker, then re-recorded this sound, waving my mic at the speaker (like a light sabre). Add a bit of chorus and voila, it's that light sabre sound. Could be a bit more beefy, you can add some sub or something, anyhows, hope some of yous get some use out of it anyways innit???!.

A real fw-190 performing a low-altitude flyby next to the camera. Recorded at flying legends airshow, edited in audacity for removal of background noise.

Needed different sounds of men crying in pain. Didn´t found the right expressions of pain here on freesound. So recorded a set of different noises, grunts and crys. Made some fast mixes - but you can take all the originals and do your own creative combination. But for the stressed and lazy ones - you can use the fast mixes :-) i just cleaned them up. Here's a non-realistic sound of a nuclear explosion. I've created this for my presentation at sonoj convention 2018:https://youtu. Be/phot0a2xglw. I've removed elements of the sound that were very specific to my use-case to make it more suitable for general use. The sound was made with only open-source software and linux. Namely:. - ardour 5. 12 (daw)- zynaddsubfx (synthesizer)- lots of sound of trash being thrown around i've recorded- open-source audio plugins: calf, mverb, magigaverb, eq10q, airwindows, wolf shaper and more. . .

A sound of a fan up close sounding like an airplane.

Produced in reasynth then rendered then pitch shifted. The quality was put to the absolute maximum (somewhat to ridiculous degrees) as to provide maximuim headroom for pitch-shifting, headroom and to stop a form of foldback aliasing in sound from occuring - sustaining fidelity.

A more dreary version of spooky siren. The intonations of this feel more grimdark, in a sense total tripedation and tension over an event can be felt like the forthcoming of a thunderstorm over a hero illuminating him towards his true path. Reasynth, orilriver and losers filtering plugins were used. I inspired this from half life 2's citadel siren which contained a single trailing notation.

This is the ambience i created for my sci-fi sitcom accidentally reckless of a dropship of some kind approaching a battlefield (and certain death). The bare bones was created from a field recording of the x-1 bus going down attercliffe road towards sheffield city centre, during a period in 2017 when they were constantly resurfacing the stretch that goes past the swingers club, resulting in the bone shaking rattling sounds you can hear. I then layered on some laser and rocket noises (already uploaded) and some engine type sound effects and shuttle flypast effects that i don't think i've uploaded yet.
