I've used a lot of sounds from this site over the years so i thought it was about time i gave something back:). Field recording on h4n zoom recorder as a concrete was spayed against the wire frame of our in ground pool. This has been normalized, equalized and compressed in audacity. Noise reduced, dynamics compressed and high/low frequencies resynthesized. I'm not that big a stickler about receiving credit for the use of my sounds on freesound. A strange glitch sound. I like to open applications and extensions, etc. In audacity by importing raw data. This is one of the more interesting results.
The winding engine in big pit mining museum in blaenavon, south wales. The brakes singing towards the end of the soundfile are gorgeous. Signalling bells can also be heard. Recorded on an r-09 hd.
Sounds of liquid-oxygen and liquid-nitrogen cooling towers next to a large industrial building, producing several different varieties of white noise as i walk past them.
Something went wrong on a mechanical device on top of the building that faces my balcony. I don't know what it is exactly (some fan. . . ) but the noise it produces is pretty theatrical. I just could'nt resist recording it. I belive this could be very useful to some of you looking for mechanical sounds. . . Recorded with a zoom h2n in x/y stereo mode.
